Our Partner, Ms R Anusha Ragvan, represented Malaysia at the 39th LAWASIA Conference 2026 in Seoul, speaking under the Women Lawyers session on “Challenges and Adaptability for Women Lawyers Amid Rapid Shifts in Global Order – Establishing a Sustainable and Manageable Roadmap to Success in an Uncertain and Asymmetric Environment.”

The session brought together women legal professionals from across the region, with Ms Anusha joining fellow panellists Ms Melissa Kaye Pang, Past President of LAWASIA, Hong Kong SAR; Ms Ranjeeta Rohatgi, Advocate-on-Record, Supreme Court of India, India; Mrs Gloria James-Civetta, Head Lawyer of Gloria James-Civetta & Co, Singapore; and Ms Young Wie, Head of Legal at Fujitsu Korea Limited, South Korea.

The session was moderated by Ms Angela Lin of Lee and Li, Attorneys-at-Law, Taiwan.

Our Partner, Mr Sathiesh K Purushothaman, was a panellist at the 39th LAWASIA Conference 2026 in Seoul, South Korea speaking at the Artificial Intelligence session titled “AI Transformation in Legal Practice: Opportunities, Risks and Compliance for Asian Lawyers.”

The session brought together legal practitioners and industry professionals from across the region. Mr Sathiesh joined fellow panellists Ms Xiaoran Song, Partner at Chance Bridge Law Firm, China; Mr Sudhir Makkar, Senior Advocate, India; Mr Young Jun Kang, Corporate Counsel at NICE Information Service, South Korea; and Mr Yu-Teng Lin, Senior Partner at Oz & Goodwin Global Law Firm, Taiwan.

Our Partner, Mr Jimmy Chong, represented Malaysia at the 39th LAWASIA Conference 2026 in Seoul, speaking under the Real Estate and Transactions session on “Risks Arising from Cross-border Transactions in the Current World Climate.”

On 28 August 2026, VSI was honoured to attend the Majlis Syarahan Perdana: Integriti Pemangkin Jiwa Merdeka at Dewan Canselor Tun Abdul Razak, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).

Syarahan Perdana was delivered by YABhg. Tun (Dr.) Tengku Maimun Tuan Mat, Profesor Ikhtisas, Fakulti Undang-Undang, UKM and Penyandang Kursi DiRaja Tuanku Muhriz dalam Bidang Integriti dan Tadbir Urus Baik.

The occasion was graced by D.Y.M.M. Yang di-Pertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan Darul Khusus, Tuanku Muhriz Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir, Chancellor of UKM, and D.Y.M.M. Tunku Ampuan Besar Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Aishah Rohani binti Almarhum Tengku Besar Mahmud, together with UKM Pro-Chancellors YBhg. Tan Sri Datuk Rafiah binti Salim and YAM Tunku Besar Seri Menanti Tunku Ali Redhauddin Ibni Tuanku Muhriz.

The programme also saw the launch of Kelestarian, Integriti & Kecemerlangan Sebagai Teras Kepimpinan by D.Y.M.M. Tuanku Muhriz.

Law Chambers of Vin Sa & Ian (Kuala Lumpur branch) is inviting applications for the position of Clerical Clerk (Litigation Department) to provide clerical and administrative support to the Firm’s litigation team.

Candidates with prior experience in a law firm, particularly in a litigation department, will be given preference.

𝐉𝐨𝐛 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
-Handle Diary/Calendar Entries.
-Perform clerical and administrative duties.
-Monitor and follow up closely on file progress, prepare status reports and update all relevant parties on work developments.
-Maintain accurate and up-to-date files for each transaction.
-Assist lawyers in preparing and attending legal documents
-Prepare status reports and updates to superiors and clients.
-Other work assigned by the firm from time to time.

𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬
• Prior experience in a legal or corporate office is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and conveyancing platforms, STAMPS, EFS, land office systems, and banking portals.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, able to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with client and colleague interaction.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬:
• Manage general office administration and ensure smooth day-to-day office operations.
• Maintain administrative records, filing systems and documentation.
• Manage office supplies, equipment and liaise with vendors and service providers.
• Coordinate correspondence, deliveries and other administrative matters.
• Provide basic HR and administrative support, including maintaining staff records and coordinating internal office matters.

𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬:
• Handle general civil litigation and dispute resolution matters, including file management.
• Conduct legal research and draft cause papers, pleadings, submissions, affidavits, and other court documents.
• Attend case managements, hearings, and other court proceedings at all levels of the Malaysian courts.
• Prepare status reports and provide updates to Partners and clients.
• Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, court officers, and relevant authorities.
• Assist Partners and senior lawyers in trial preparation and the conduct of trials where required.
• Perform any other duties or legal work assigned by the Firm from time to time.

𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) and admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the Malaysian Bar with a valid practising certificate.
• Minimum one (1) year of post-qualification experience, preferably with experience in general civil litigation.
• Strong drafting, analytical, and legal research skills with attention to detail.
• Able to work independently, manage deadlines, and perform well under pressure.
• Diligent, responsible, reliable, and committed, with a good working attitude.
