Chiles en nogada are a beautiful thing!
Arguably one of the stranger combinations of ingredients, but it works!
I like to use the original recipe from the 1800's, and 4+ hours in the kitchen is absolutely worth it for this delicacy.

Reason # 4,537 of why I love Mexico.
After a day of denial, I finally admitted to myself that I have conjunctivitis.

I went to the farmacia, peeped the wait for the farmacia doc, decided I didn't want to wait 45 minutes because the line was looong.

So I went into the farmacia proper, asked the employee for antibiotic drops for conjunctivitis.

She commiserated with me over how awful my eyes look, and sold me the meds.

$79 pesos and 5 minutes.

The US would have had me taking out a damn loan. 😂

Edit: I see some confusion in the comments.
Oral antibiotics are by prescription only.
Eye, ear, and topical preparations are over the counter.
