French President Emmanuel Macron arrives in Egypt tomorrow Saturday one year after his historic 2025 visit which successfully elevated bilateral relations to a strategic partnership.

Macron will inaugurate the new Senghor University campus in Borg El Arab to deepen ties with Francophone nations.



The 10-acre campus is an academic landmark for African development designed to double student capacity.



Since 1990, the university has trained African leaders in development fields under an agreement with the International Organization of the Francophonie.



The new campus currently hosts 143 students across culture, environment, management, and health departments.



High-level delegations from both sides will attend the official inauguration.



Scientific cooperation previously included 42 university agreements resulting in 80 joint projects across multiple disciplines.



The visit follows a Cairo strategic dialogue session focused on educational cooperation and teacher training.



Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Abdel Aziz Qansua described the university as a pillar of African cooperation.



Egypt and France renew their commitment to African development through this pioneering project.
