The International Royal Diplomatic Club of the United Nations (IRDC UN) continues its high-level engagement with UN-Habitat!
On August 11, 2026, representatives of our Club actively participated in the Third UN-Habitat Global Stakeholder Dialogue with the Executive Director. The high-level meeting brought together over 300 international experts and key global stakeholders to translate urban and climate priorities into practical, actionable solutions on the ground.✨ A milestone for our organization: The IRDC UN previously took a direct, hands-on role in the global stakeholder engagement processes and the co-drafting of the key document — the Baku Call to Action (BCTA). It is an honor to see the strategic recommendations we helped shape now being integrated into UN-Habitat’s long-term roadmap.Key areas of collaboration for the 2026–2029 Strategic Period include:Moving from Consultation to Co-Creation: Transitioning toward predictable, implementation-focused, and long-term stakeholder engagement in urban planning and budgeting.Housing as a System: Integrating housing policies with human rights, social and ecological land functions, and climate resilience.Localization and Inclusive Delivery: Supporting grassroots initiatives, local governments, and youth as co-designers and vital drivers of urban transformation.Our ongoing dialogue and co-authoring contributions within UN-Habitat reinforce the IRDC UN's deep commitment to international diplomacy and the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 11 (SDG 11).
