β€οΈπ WORLD RED CROSS DAY & BOY CHILD CELEBRATION πβ€οΈ
π§ MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS π§
As we celebrate World Red Cross Day and honor the Boy Child, we are reminded that boys and young men also carry emotional pain, silent struggles, pressure, anxiety, and heartbreak that often go unnoticed.
Many boys are raised to believe that βreal men donβt cry,β βbe strong,β or βman up.β Because of this, many suffer in silence, hiding depression, stress, trauma, loneliness, and emotional pain behind smiles and silence.
Today, we want to change that narrative.
A boy child deserves:
β€οΈ To be heard
β€οΈ To express emotions freely
β€οΈ To ask for help without shame
β€οΈ To be protected, guided, and supported
β€οΈ To know that vulnerability is not weakness
Mental health affects everyone β including the young man who always seems strong, the friend who suddenly becomes quiet, the brother who hides his pain, or the boy struggling to find his place in the world.
As the Lesotho Red Cross Society Mafeteng Branch, we stand together to create awareness, encourage open conversations, and remind every boy child that their life, voice, and mental wellbeing matter.
