A data protection policy is only effective if someone operationalises it.

Under Sri Lanka’s PDPA, certain organisations, including public authorities, must appoint a Data Protection Officer (DPO). But even where it isn’t mandatory, having a DPO can give your privacy programme a clear owner and help keep your organisation PDPA compliant.
