The "Conversation Partnership" introduced by Reitaku University in April is a pair of volunteer Japanese students and international students to help everyday life and conversation with Japanese people. Each pair will discuss collaborative research on the differences of cultures between international students' homeland and Japan, as well as talks about student life problems.
Approximately 400 international students who came from Asia, Europe, America, Africa, etc. occupy more than 10% of all students. Foreign students' primary purpose is mastery of Japanese, deepening their understanding of Japanese society and culture is a help for learning.
There is also expectation that "Exchange between Japanese students and international students will broaden mutual knowledge and vision" (public relations department).
