🇺🇦 RUSSIA EXPANDS LONG-RANGE STRIKES ACROSS UKRAINE

Russia is striking deeper inside Ukraine and on a much larger scale, with new developments helping Russian forces extend the reach and intensity of their aerial campaign.

New jet-powered drones are faster, have greater range and can be harder for Ukrainian air defenses to intercept. Russia has also been launching large waves of drones against cities, infrastructure, warehouses and logistics sites.

The growing use of these weapons is putting additional pressure on Ukraine’s air defenses and allowing Russian strikes to reach targets far beyond the front lines.

FLAMES, HEAVY SMOKE SEEN NEAR RIYADH AIRPORT AS HOUTHIS CLAIM ATTACKS

RIYADH — Flames and a huge column of black smoke were seen near Riyadh’s main airport on Saturday, September 19, as Yemen’s Houthis claimed they launched missiles and drones at “sensitive” sites in the Saudi capital.

Saudi authorities had earlier warned residents of possible aerial attacks in Riyadh and nearby Al-Kharj. Saudi air defenses said they intercepted a missile fired toward Riyadh.

The Houthis also claimed an attack on an Aramco facility in Yanbu, a major Saudi oil-export hub.

The attacks come amid a wider escalation between the Houthis and Saudi Arabia, raising concerns over Saudi energy facilities, Red Sea shipping and global oil supplies.

The situation remains tense as Saudi Arabia and its allies respond to the latest Houthi attacks.

Romualdez aide Joselyn Serenio left Philippines before HDO was issued

The Bureau of Immigration confirmed that Joselyn Tragua Serenio, personal assistant to former House Speaker Martin Romualdez, had already left the Philippines before the Hold Departure Order (HDO) against her was issued.

The HDO also covers former Rep. Zaldy Co and Felicito Cristobal Guevarra in connection with the alleged ₱7.4-billion kickback scheme involving infrastructure projects.

The BI said Romualdez and Guevarra remain in the Philippines, while Serenio and Co had already departed before the HDO was issued.

The allegations remain subject to court proceedings, and the accused are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
