We would like to clarify that this does NOT mean businesses can stop working with their accountant or stop paying accounting service fees.

✅ Tax declarations still need to be filed as usual.
✅ Financial numbers and supporting documents still need to be prepared and submitted.
✅ Proper bookkeeping and compliance are still required.

Even if there are updates or changes from the authorities, the responsibility to prepare accurate reports and submit tax filings remains the same.

This means accounting work must still be done properly and on time.

Capital Gains Tax Update – Cambodia

The General Department of Taxation has officially announced that the implementation of capital gains tax on real estate is postponed by 1 year.

The tax will now apply to capital gains arising from 1 January 2027 onwards.

This extension gives property owners and investors more time to prepare.
