On the morning of 14 October 2026, His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister PRAK Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia, as Cambodia's Agent, is leading a delegation of legal experts to attend the Second Meeting of the Conciliation Commission under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) between Cambodia and Thailand, at the Peace Palace (ICJ), in The Hague, the Netherlands.

NUM iLAW Visits Corrs Chambers Westgarth, Legal Counsel to Cambodia in the Maritime Dispute with Thailand

On 10 July 2026, under the direction of H.E. Prof. Hor Peng, Rector of the National University of Management, Mr. Din Siden, Director of NUM iLAW, and the NUM iLAW team visited Corrs Chambers Westgarth in Sydney, Australia.

Corrs is advising the Royal Government of Cambodia in the ongoing conciliation with Thailand over their longstanding maritime boundary dispute in the Gulf of Thailand, involving offshore resources estimated to be worth up to USD 300 billion. Read more: https://pca-cpa.org/en/cases/380/

The training on “Guidelines on the Procedures and Rules for Drafting Laws and Other Legal Instruments” provided students with valuable practical knowledge and a deeper understanding of Cambodia’s legal drafting process.
