The Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training has issued Prakas No. 098 on the Arbitration Council, dated 13 April 2026, replacing Prakas No. 099 dated 21 April 2004.

This Prakas modernises Cambodia’s labour arbitration framework by expanding the Arbitration Council’s jurisdiction, strengthening its institutional capacity, introducing arbitrator qualification requirements, and extending the validity period of arbitral awards.

ANANT Law Firm, together with PropNex Cambodia hosted a seminar on “Navigating Risks & Unlocking Opportunities in Today’s Property Market” on 29 April 2026 at Fairfield by Marriott Phnom Penh. We brought together over 150 professionals, including policy makers, developers, investors, entrepreneurs, and professional service providers, to examine where the industry is heading next, and opportunities lie.

We were honored to have H.E. Sopheavatey Sorn, Director General of the General Department of Logistics at the ក្រសួងសាធារណការ និងដឹកជញ្ជូន Ministry of Public Works and Transport - MPWT, share on how government policy and regulatory landscape are boosting the development of the logistics sector.

Our Managing Partner, Sophealeak Ing, among other speakers, shared about investment opportunities in the industrial and infrastructure projects, especially how investors can take advantage of government policies and investment incentives readily available within the framework of Investment Law, PPP, and SPIN programme.

We are proud to share that our partners, Huoy Tongkin and Nem Ratana, recently served as speaker and moderator at a workshop organized by the ក្រសួងរៀបចំដែនដី នគរូបនីយកម្ម និងសំណង់, Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction (MLMUPC) on “Access to Cadastral Information.”

This engagement is a key part of the ongoing collaboration between MLMUPC and the គណៈមេធាវីនៃព្រះរាជាណាចក្រកម្ពុជា
- Bar Association Association of the Kingdom of Cambodia (BAKC).

The workshop addressed critical pillars of the draft New Cambodian Land Law, including:
- Digital Evolution: Development of a national digital cadastral database.
- Data Governance: Procedures for access, eligibility, and responsible data use.
- Transparency: Ensuring public access to cadastral information while protecting sensitive personal data.

📢 Temporary Additional Transportation and Accommodation Allowance USD 2.50

On 26 March 2026, the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training (“MLVT”) issued Notification No. 013/26 on the Temporary Additional Allowance for Transportation and Accommodation for Employers in the textile, garment, footwear, and travel goods and bag sectors are required to provide a temporary additional allowance of USD 2.50 per employee per month, effective from 1 April 2026 until further notice.
