Kenya 🇰🇪 will host Amazon’s first satellite ground station in Africa through its new subsidiary, Amazon Kuiper Kenya Limited. The project is part of Project Kuiper, Amazon’s low Earth orbit internet network designed to improve global connectivity.

It will link satellites to ground networks and is expected to support speeds of up to 1,280 Mbps.

It will compete with Starlink, which provides about 50 to 250 Mbps in many regions.
