Did you study law outside Kenya and dream of practicing as an advocate back home? The Council of Legal Education (CLE) has outlined the official process for recognition and approval of foreign law qualifications for admission into the Advocates Training Programme (ATP).

Key requirements include:
• Certified LL.B degree certificate and transcripts
• Certified curriculum/syllabus
• Letter of recommendation from your university
• Proof of accreditation of your law program

WAKILI, TWENDE TULIPE BEL

Since it's establishment in 2019, the Bar Examination Loan (BEL) has benefited 2,148 ATP candidates.

Behind every BEL application, is a story of sacrifice, resilience, hope and determination. For the beneficiaries, BEL became the bridge between financial hardship and the opportunity to sit for the Bar Examination.

CLE appeals to all BEL beneficiaries to repay their loan and help other deserving candidate access the same opportunity.

When you repay BEL, another dream lives on.

You can repay using different payment platforms e.g. USSD Code *642 #, HELB Mobile App, Loanee Self-Serve Portal or Employers Portal. For advocates in diaspora you can also repay using Wave, World Remit and Bank deposit.
