When you’re renting in Rome, here’s what matters:
The agency is usually working based on the landlords requirements, not your own.
You’re often being assessed before the viewing is even booked.
If you love an apartment, waiting a few days to “think about it” can mean someone else gets there first.
And preparation matters. Have your documents, proof of income and everything you need ready before you find the apartment you want.
Speaking Italian can also make a much bigger difference than people expect. It’s not just about translation. It can make the entire process easier for agents and landlords and help you present yourself as a serious, prepared tenant.
