📘 GST Rule 23 – Revocation of Cancellation of GST Registration

🚨 GST Registration Cancelled by the Department?
Don't panic! Rule 23 allows you to restore your GST Registration.

⏳ Time Limit
✅ Apply for Revocation in Form GST REG-21 within 90 days from the date of the Cancellation Order.*

📌 Conditions
📝 File all pending GST Returns.
💰 Pay all Tax, Interest & Late Fees.
✅ Comply with all pending statutory requirements.

📌 Example
ABC Traders' GST Registration was cancelled on 10 July 2026 for non-filing of returns.
➡️ They file all pending GSTR-3B & GSTR-1.
➡️ Pay the outstanding dues.
➡️ Submit REG-21 on or before 8 October 2026.
🎉 After approval by the Proper Officer, the GST Registration is restored.

⚠️ Remember
❌ Rule 23 does not apply to Voluntary Cancellation.
