"My payment is stuck. Let me call customer care."

That simple decision has cost people thousands—and sometimes lakhs.

The fraud usually begins with a Google search.

You search:
"Bank customer care"
"UPI support number"
"Courier helpline"
"E-commerce complaint number"

You call the number that appears.
The problem?
Sometimes it isn't the company.
It's the scammer.

⚠️ Here's how the trap works:
You explain your problem.
They sound professional.
They know the right terminology.
They appear eager to help.

Then comes the dangerous part:
"Please install this app."
"Share your screen."
"Allow remote access."
"Click this link."

At that moment, your phone may become more valuable to them than your wallet.

🔎 Red Flags You Should Never Ignore
❌ Asking for screen sharing
❌ Asking for OTPs
❌ Asking for UPI PIN
❌ Asking you to install remote access apps
❌ Asking for debit/credit card details

No genuine support executive needs these to "help" you.

🛡 A Simple Rule That Can Save You
Never trust a customer care number simply because it appears online.

Always verify it through:
✔ Official website
✔ Official mobile application
✔ Verified social media pages
✔ Official communication from the company

Fraudsters don't always break into systems.
Sometimes they simply convince people to open the door themselves.

💬 Have you ever searched for a customer care number online before calling?

Most people do. That's exactly why scammers target this route.

A professional-looking website does NOT mean it’s trustworthy.

Today, scam platforms look polished.
Good logos. Smooth apps. Fake reviews. Fast payments.

And many people realise the truth only after the money is gone.

Before paying on any website, app, or platform — pause and verify these basics first:

🔎 1️⃣ 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲
Scam sites often use slight spelling changes:
• paytm-secure.net
• amaz0n-offers.in
• fake support subdomains
One extra letter can change everything.

🔎 2️⃣ 𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
A genuine platform usually discloses:
✔ Company name
✔ Address
✔ Contact details
✔ Terms & policies
✔ Customer support channels
If ownership is hidden, that itself is a warning.

🔎 3️⃣ 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐩𝐚𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐫
Be cautious if the platform:
⚠ Keeps changing UPI IDs
⚠ Demands urgent deposits
⚠ Accepts only wallet transfers
⚠ Avoids traceable payment methods
Legitimate businesses generally prefer stable, transparent payment systems.

🔎 4️⃣ 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦
Before paying:
• Search the platform name + “fraud” or “complaint”
• Check public reviews carefully
• Look for independent mentions — not just sponsored promotions

🛡𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐬

Never trust a platform only because:
• It looks premium
• Others are using it
• A social media influencer promoted it

Fraud today often wears professional clothing.

💬 Have you ever checked a website twice and later discovered it was suspicious? That instinct is more valuable than people think.

“₹10,000 credited to your account.”

You check.
It’s real.
But you don’t know who sent it.

A few minutes later — a call/message:
“By mistake sent. Please return.”

Most people immediately transfer it back.
That’s where things can go wrong.

⚠️ Why this situation is risky

That unknown credit could be linked to:
• Fraud proceeds routed through multiple accounts
• A scammer testing active bank accounts
• A larger transaction chain under investigation

If you send the money elsewhere without verification,
you may unknowingly become part of that chain.

🔎 What you should NOT do
• Don’t immediately transfer the money to another account
• Don’t rely only on calls/WhatsApp explanations
• Don’t assume it’s a genuine mistake

🛡 What you SHOULD do instead
✔ Inform your bank and seek guidance
✔ Keep record of the transaction details
✔ Ask the sender to resolve it through their bank
✔ Wait for proper reversal or official instruction

This protects you from unnecessary complications later.

📌 Important to understand
Returning money is not wrong.
But returning it the wrong way can create problems.

💬 Have you ever received money from an unknown source and felt unsure what to do? That confusion is more common than people admit.

“Can I use your account for a few transactions? I’ll transfer and return immediately.”

Sounds harmless.
Many people say yes.

And that’s where the problem begins.

You may not be committing fraud —
but your account can still become part of one.

⚠️ What is a “Money Mule”?
Someone who allows their bank account to be used to move money on behalf of others — knowingly or unknowingly.

This is one of the most common ways fraud money is routed.

🔎 How people get pulled into this
• Friends / acquaintances asking for “temporary use”
• Job offers asking to “handle transactions”
• Commission-based payment handling tasks
• Telegram/WhatsApp groups offering easy earnings
• Requests to receive and forward funds quickly

It often feels like a favour… or an easy opportunity.

🛑 What most people don’t realise

Once your account is used in a fraud chain:
• Your account can be frozen
• You may receive bank notices or legal queries
• You may have to explain transactions you didn’t even benefit from

And “I was just helping someone” is not always enough.

🛡 Simple boundary that protects you
Your bank account is not a transit route.

Never receive or transfer money on behalf of others —
especially when you don’t fully understand the source and purpose.

💬 Have you ever been asked to “just receive and send money”?
That single request carries more risk than it appears.

“𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐲.”That’s how it usually starts. No hacking. No OTP theft.Just one tap — and the...

“𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐲.”

That’s how it usually starts.

No hacking.
No OTP theft.
Just one tap — and the money is gone.

UPI fraud today is less about breaking systems…
and more about 𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐫.

⚠️ 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐩 — 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐦

You receive a request saying:
“₹5,000 incoming” or “Payment pending — approve to receive”

But here’s the reality:
👉 Approving a UPI request = 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐲, not receiving it.

And many people realise this only after the amount is debited.

🔎 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐮𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦
• Fake buyers on OLX / Marketplace
• Telegram or WhatsApp deal offers
• “Refund” or “cashback” messages
• Unknown contacts posing as support teams

🛑 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐞
• “Approve to receive money”
• Urgent pressure to accept request quickly
• QR codes sent for “receiving” payment
• Requests from unknown UPI IDs
• Slight spelling changes in names/handles

🛡𝐒𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐮𝐝
Before approving any request, ask yourself:

👉 “Am I paying… or am I receiving?”

If you are receiving money —
you should not be approving anything.

No request.
No PIN.
No confirmation.

💬 Have you ever received a “collect request” that looked like incoming money? Most people have — but very few question it.

“𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒚 & 𝑬𝒂𝒓𝒏.”
“𝑫𝒐𝒖𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒚.”
“𝑰𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉𝒅𝒓𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒍 𝒈𝒖𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒆𝒅.”

These phrases appear on hundreds of online gaming and betting platforms today. What many users don’t realise is that participating in the wrong platform can quietly place their bank account inside a fraud investigation trail.

Not because of gambling.
But because of 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐬

Here are the risks most users miss:

⚠️ 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐬 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞
• Funds are routed through multiple unknown accounts
• Wallets are used as temporary transaction bridges
• Deposits move through layered payment gateways
• Withdrawals may originate from unrelated accounts

To the system, this begins to look like 𝐜𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭

And once one complaint arises somewhere in that chain, many connected accounts can get flagged.

🔎 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦
✔ Does the platform clearly disclose company details?
✔ Is there a verifiable registered entity behind it?
✔ Are payment gateways recognised and traceable?
✔ Does it provide proper transaction records?
✔ Are withdrawals coming from the same platform account?

If the platform hides ownership, pushes urgent deposits, or keeps changing payment IDs — that’s a warning sign.

🛡 𝐀 𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐬:
Never treat unknown digital platforms like a bank.

Every transaction leaves a trace.
And sometimes the consequences appear weeks later — when an account suddenly stops working.

💬 Have you seen platforms constantly changing UPI IDs or payment wallets? That pattern itself reveals a lot.

🎉 5 Years of JUSTICE | 28.02.2021 – 28.02.2026

Today, 28th February 2026, marks 5 years of 𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐋𝐚𝐰 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐦 & 𝐀𝐫𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞

Five years ago, two determined minds came together with a shared belief —
that law must be practiced not only with knowledge, but with integrity.

On 28th February 2021, Adv. Ssonali Satpathy and Adv. Saanjay Yadav laid the foundation of a firm built on courage, clarity, and conscience.

It was never just about starting a law office.
It was about building a space where:

⚖ Clients are heard before they are advised
⚖ Strategy is balanced with sensitivity
⚖ Ethics are never compromised
⚖ Justice is pursued with dignity

From complex litigation to structured arbitration, from advisory roles to standing firm in challenging matters — every step has strengthened the vision that began in 2021.

These 5 years have been filled with:
• Trust placed by clients
• Lessons taught by experience
• Challenges that built resilience
• Victories that reinforced faith

What started as a vision of two minds has now become a growing institution powered by commitment and responsibility.

To every client, colleague, associate, and well-wisher —
You are a part of this journey.

Today, we don’t just celebrate a date.
We celebrate belief.
We celebrate courage.
We celebrate the responsibility of carrying the name “JUSTICE.”

5 years completed.
A stronger, bolder future ahead.

Your Account Just Got Frozen — Now What?

This is usually where panic begins. Calls to friends. Endless app refresh. Angry emails.

Unfortunately, avoiding structured steps at this stage often complicates recovery.

Here’s what actually helps:
1️⃣ Pause Before Reacting
Do not attempt random fund routing, new account transfers, or hurried withdrawals elsewhere.
That behaviour can deepen suspicion flags across institutions.

2️⃣ Confirm the Nature of Restriction
Not every freeze is identical.
Ask the bank (written communication preferred):
• Is it debit-only restriction or full freeze?
• Origin — internal compliance / cyber complaint / law enforcement request?
• Reference number or authority details
Documentation begins here.

3️⃣ Compile Transaction Trail
Prepare before escalation:
✔ Relevant statements
✔ Screenshots of disputed entries
✔ Communication history linked to transaction
✔ Platform details (if digital payment/gaming involved)
Organised responses get faster movement.

4️⃣ Formal Written Representation
A structured email/letter to the bank branch or nodal officer often produces better outcomes than repeated verbal follow-ups.
Clarity of facts matters more than emotional language.

5️⃣ Escalation When Required
If linked to cyber complaint or external direction:
• Identify jurisdiction authority
• Respond with supporting documents
• Maintain acknowledgment trail

Silence rarely resolves regulatory holds.

A grounded reminder:
Showing cooperation and clarity almost always works better than defensiveness or speculation.

These situations are procedural — not personal.

💬 If you’ve experienced delayed responses or unclear freeze reasons, share the pattern you observed. Many learn from real timelines more than theory.
