✨ Blessings for a Bright Future ✨

On the auspicious occasion of International Women’s Day – 8th March 2026, the Lions Club of Silvassa Charitable Trust celebrated the spirit of empowering the girl child under the Suknya sunidhi Yojna of trust.

Ms. Sammrashti Nair, daughter of IQAC Coordinator & Assistant Professor Ms. Lakshmi Nair and Shri Shreejith Nair, was lovingly blessed by the Trust members. On this special occasion, the Trust showered her with gifts and presented a Fixed Deposit cheque of ₹18,000 for 18 years as a step towards securing her bright future.

This thoughtful vision was inspired by the Hon’ble Chairman, Shri Fatehsinhji M. Chauhan, reflecting the Trust’s commitment towards encouraging education, empowerment, and financial security for the girl child.

*हवेली इंस्टिट्यूट ऑफ लीगल स्टडीज़ एंड रिसर्च, सिलवासा एवं केंद्र शासित प्रदेश के लिए एक ऐतिहासिक उपलब्धि*

सिलवासा: हवेली इंस्टिट्यूट ऑफ लीगल स्टडीज़ एंड रिसर्च, सिलवासा के 50 विद्यार्थियों ने Cyber Police Department of DNH & DD के साथ संपन्न एमओयू के अंतर्गत “Cyber Rakshak” प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम सफलतापूर्वक पूर्ण किया। यह पूरे केंद्र शासित प्रदेश के लिए गर्व का विषय है कि संस्थान के विद्यार्थी इस प्रशिक्षण को प्राप्त करने वाले *प्रथम बैच* बने हैं। इस प्रशिक्षण का उद्देश्य विद्यार्थियों में साइबर अपराधों के प्रति जागरूकता, डिजिटल सुरक्षा के प्रति जिम्मेदारी तथा विधिक दृष्टिकोण से साइबर कानूनों की समझ विकसित करना था।

प्रमाणपत्र वितरण समारोह माननीय अधिकारियों की गरिमामयी उपस्थिति में आयोजित किया गया। कार्यक्रम में श्री सचिन यादव, पुलिस अधीक्षक; श्री आदर्श पटेल, आईपीएस – उप पुलिस अधीक्षक (SDPO); श्री संदीप रुपेला, उप पुलिस अधीक्षक (SDPO); डॉ. शिल्पा तिवारी, प्राचार्या; तथा सहायक प्राध्यापक खुशबू जैन, LAAC समन्वयक सहित संपूर्ण साइबर विभाग उपस्थित रहा।

कार्यक्रम के दौरान अधिकारियों ने विद्यार्थियों को डिजिटल सुरक्षा के क्षेत्र में सजग प्रहरी के रूप में अपनी भूमिका निभाने हेतु प्रेरित किया। यह उपलब्धि दर्शाती है कि हवेली इंस्टिट्यूट ऑफ लीगल स्टडीज़ एंड रिसर्च, सिलवासा के विद्यार्थी विधि शिक्षा के साथ-साथ डिजिटल सुरक्षा एवं साइबर जागरूकता के क्षेत्र में भी अग्रणी भूमिका निभा रहे हैं।

Haveli Institute of Legal Studies and Research, Silvassa, in collaboration with Smt. Devkiba Mohansinhji Chauhan College of Commerce and Science, Silvassa. Has successfully organized a seminar on “*Study Abroad Opportunities & Entrance Test Guidance”* in collaboration with NITS Overseas on 21st February 2026.

Our Law students played a *major role* in making the session highly interactive and engaging through their enthusiastic participation. A spontaneous quiz was conducted during the program, and we are proud to share that *all four prizes were won by our Law students for their active involvement and awareness.* 🎉👏

*Successful Completion of Cyber Awareness Workshop* ✨

We are proud to share the successful completion of the Cyber Awareness Workshop conducted by our dedicated faculty members - *Asst. Prof. Nirnesh Naidu (HOD B.A.LL.B), Asst. Prof. Ekta Tomar (HOD LL.B), Asst. Prof. Khushbu Mishra Jain, and Asst. Prof. Rinki Yadav*.

Their insightful sessions and commitment to spreading digital safety awareness made the programme highly meaningful and impactful for students.

We are delighted to share that *Ms. Meenakshi Girgas, Assistant Professor (Non-Law Faculty)*, presented her research paper at the Multidisciplinary International Conference on “Innovative and Emerging Trends in Humanities, Science, Commerce and Management” held on 31 January 2026.

Her paper titled “A 21st Century IKS-Based English Learning Model” was presented at the conference organized by Comrade Godavari Shamrao Parulekar College, Talasari (affiliated to the University of Mumbai).

Adding to this accomplishment, her research has been published in the peer-reviewed UGC CARE-listed journal AJANTA (ISSN: 2277-5730, Impact Factor 7.226).

We congratulate Ms. Girgas on her scholarly contribution and wish her continued success in academic research and excellence.

We are proud to celebrate the achievement of our student Shruti Bansal, who excelled at the National Lok Adalat by securing the Top Position as Best Volunteer for Highest Case Resolution.

She was later appointed as a Coordinator with Sambhav Initiative during the National Lok Adalat (13 December 2025), where she worked on pre-litigation bank loan matters and contributed meaningfully to dispute resolution.

Her dedication earned her Appreciation Certificates from esteemed judicial dignitaries and a prestigious internship opportunity with a High Court Judge and an Advocate practicing before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.
