Gave a friendly cash loan with no agreement or proof? You may still recover it. First, establish an acknowledgement of liability, then send a legal demand notice and pursue recovery through court.

Does your property have no access road?

Many people assume that a landlocked property is completely useless—but that's not always the case.

Under Section 13 of the Indian Easements Act, 1882, a landowner may, in certain circumstances, be entitled to claim an Easement of Necessity (Right of Way) over a neighbouring property. However, this right is not automatic. It arises only when specific legal requirements are fulfilled, including absolute necessity and, in most cases, prior common ownership before the property was divided.

In this reel, I explain:

- What a landlocked property is.
- When a Right of Way can legally be claimed.
- The two key legal conditions you must satisfy before approaching a civil court.

Save this reel and share it with anyone buying land, facing an access road dispute, or dealing with a right-of-way issue.

The proposal to raise advocate enrolment fees from ₹750 to ₹22,500 is not just about increasing a fee—it is about defining who gets access to the legal profession. While strengthening Bar Councils, improving advocate welfare, promoting mandatory legal education, and ensuring better regulation are important goals, an important question remains: should these reforms come at the cost of making entry into the profession far more expensive?

A strong legal system should encourage merit, not create financial hurdles. The challenge is to improve the profession while ensuring that capable law graduates, regardless of their financial background, are not discouraged from pursuing advocacy.

What do you think? Will this reform benefit the legal profession, or will it make the Bar less accessible to deserving young lawyers?
