Today, a very interesting thing happened with me.

I was appearing before Calcutta High Court in a criminal matter & after I finished arguing my matter - two financially weak & helpless ladies approached me & started crying!

I asked whats the matter - they told me that their house had been burgled after they had shifted to some other place on account of smell in their locality & intrusive neighbours!

Police hadn't registered a case & learned Magistrate had dismissed their complaint on flimsy grounds despite directives given by the Hon'ble High Court & the local police had also appeared to have filed a collusive report before the Court!

I called them to my junior's chamber, read the documents and dictated the legal contents of the appeal challenging the whimsical & arbitrary order of the judge - who hadn't taken Prima Facie Cognizance of the order & passed a non reasoned order.

Both ladies felt a relief, cried holding me & gave me a lot of blessings of Maa Durga & Bhole Baba!

This is truly what a lawyer earns - and standing up for justice, so that justice even if it is delayed but Must NOT BE DENIED AT ANY COST!

It's something what I learnt during my LLM Programme at Cornell Law School & imbibed in my soul, no matter what never deny Justice & always be as Cornell Law symbolizes - Lawyers in the Best Sense! 🤎

1. Elevation of Mr. Shahrukh Ahmad, Advocate-on-Record (AoR) of the Supreme Court of India as Full-Time Partner of P & A handling the Delhi Office of the Firm, including Corporate & IPR Laws, General Legal & Commercial Advisory Work.

2. Elevation of Mr. Aalekh Anand, Advocate, Patna High Court as the Full-Time Additional-Partner of P & A, handling the appellate and trial disputes at the Patna Office of the Firm.

3. Induction of Ms. Poorvi Shukla, Advocate as Senior Associate & Mr. Prateek Singh as Associate of P & A at the Delhi Office of the Firm!
