Delhi Court has framed charges against Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) founder Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, Kashmiri separatist leaders Yasin Malik, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Hizbul Mujahideen Chief Salahuddin and other persons under Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) in connection with Jammu & Kashmir terror funding case.

Special NIA Judge Praveen Singh has also framed charges against Former MLA Rashid Engineer, Zahoor Ahmad Shah Watali, Shahid-ul-Islam, Altaf Ahmad Shah @ Fantoosh, Nayeem Khan, Farooq Ahmad Dar @ Bitta Karate and others under UAPA.

पुलिस अधिकारी बिना एफआईआर दर्ज किए किसी भी व्यक्ति को समन व हिरासत में नहीं ले सकता है, एफआईआर दर्ज होने के बाद भी आरोपी को जांच में शामिल होने के लिए नोटिस तामील करना अनिवार्य है यदि दर्ज अपराध 7 साल से कम के कारावास से दंडनीय है।
"केवल तथ्य यह है कि कोई अपराध दर्ज नहीं किया गया था, बचाव नहीं हो सकता था, और न ही यह इस न्यायालय द्वारा दिए गए निर्णयों की कठोरता से बच जाएगा। वास्तव में, व्यक्ति को उसके खिलाफ कोई अपराध दर्ज किए बिना समन करना और उसे हिरासत में लेना अपने आप में बुनियादी सिद्धांतों का उल्लंघन होगा", अदालत ने कहा।

In a recent judgement of Madras High Court it has been held that the police cannot decide the working hours of eateries and restaurants under the guise of law and order problems. The court also observed that it is the bounden duty of police authorities to provide appropriate protection to the eatery shops/hotels/restaurants:Gunaraja v. Supreme Court has observed that offence s.7 of prevention of corruption can not be established unless there is proof of demand of bribe or gratification from public servent. Mere acceptance of amount is not sufficient to establish the offence of bribery
The offence under Section 7 of the PC Act relating to public servants taking bribe requires a demand of illegal gratification and the acceptance thereof. The proof of demand of bribe by a public servant and its acceptance by him is sine quo non for establishing the offence under Section 7 of the PC Act." :K. Hon'ble Supreme Court In a significant judgment disapproving gender-based stereotypes, the Supreme Court held that the condition imposing a gender cap as to the number of women or men, who can perform in orchestras and bands, in licenced bars, is unconstitutional.

While the overall limit of performers in any given performance cannot exceed eight, the composition (i.e., all female, majority female or male, or vice versa) can be of any combination, the Court clarified, while allowing the appeal filed by a hotel challenging the restrictions imposed by Mumbai Police (Hotel Priya, A Proprietorship v State of Maharashtra and others).

The Court observed that the restriction capping the number of women performers emanated from gender-based stereotypes:
