Hon’ble Justice Debangsu Basak from Calcutta High Court delivered a lecture on "Drafting and Adjudication of Writ Petitions" at Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law. Members of the Pro Bono Club, IIT Kharagpur attended the Regional Conference on Mediation organized by the Mediation Committee of the Calcutta High court on 1st May 2022.

The conference was conducted for the Districts of Paschim Medinipur and Jhargram at Medinipur Sadar.

Honourable Justices Harish Tandon, Soumen Sen, Suvra Ghosh and Debangsu Basak delivered insightful lectures and answered the questions asked by the advocates and PBAs.

The Pro Bono Club IIT Kharagpur had the first meeting on 8th March 2022.

The club will be working to support the Nyaya Bandhu Scheme of the Department of Justice, Ministry of Law & Justice, Government of India.

The scheme aims to promote Pro Bono Culture among the Indian legal fraternity.
