When we finish pressing our plates, the floor is often covered in curved trimmings of Areca leaf. In a traditional factory, these would be swept away as trash. But in our workshop, we see them as an opportunity. We have started gathering these small offcuts and turning them into rustic, textured name tags for events and weddings.

It is a small detail, but it reflects our bigger commitment to a zero waste life. We believe that if nature took the time to grow it, we should take the time to use it. These name tags are more than just labels. They are a way for us to ensure that every single leaf we collect from the forest floor fulfills its purpose completely before returning to the earth.

We often think about what we will leave behind once our work is finished. We have grown so used to taking from the earth as if it were a bottomless storehouse. But the truth is simpler and more profound. We are only borrowing this planet from the children who will walk these palm groves long after we are gone.

We often meet people who are so used to the perfect, clinical uniformity of plastic that they look at a leaf plate with a bit of confusion. They ask why the colors vary or why they can feel the natural ridges of the plant.

We have to explain that those "imperfections" are actually signs of life. Plastic is designed to look the same forever because it never returns to the earth. While many alternate product factories rely on heavy machinery and massive amounts of electricity, we rely on clear skies and patience.
