35th Jalsa-e-Rahmat-ul-Alameen ο·Ί: MBT Calls for Unity, Justice, Protection of Waqf Properties and Revival of the Seerat of Prophet Muhammad ο·Ί

Hyderabad, August 30: The 35th annual Jalsa-e-Rahmat-ul-Alameen ο·Ί, organised by the Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT), was held with great religious fervour and devotion at Govt Junior College Grounds, Chanchalguda. Addressing the gathering, MBT President Majeed Ullah Khan @ Farhat Khan said that the mission of the Majlis Bachao Tehreek through the Jalsa-e-Rahmat-ul-Alameen ο·Ί has continued for the last 35 years and will continue in the future.

Majeed Ullah Khan said that whenever the tradition of Jalsa-e-Rahmat-ul-Alameen ο·Ί in the Deccan is discussed, Quaid-e-Millat, Lisan-ul-Ummat Nawab Mohammed Bahadur Yar Jung (RA) cannot be forgotten. He recalled that despite Muslims being in a position of political authority at that time, there was a need to awaken the religious and spiritual consciousness of the community. Nawab Bahadur Yar Jung therefore began organising gatherings on the Seerat-un-Nabi ο·Ί, a tradition which subsequently spread throughout the Deccan.

He said that more than 1,500 years have passed, but the personality of Prophet Muhammad ο·Ί remains the most beloved and respected personality throughout the world. The Prophet's ο·Ί Seerat conveys the universal message of brotherhood, peace, harmony, justice and stability, and Muslims must bring these teachings into their own lives.

Majeed Ullah Khan expressed concern over the humiliation and difficulties faced by Muslims across the world and said that the community must seriously examine its own shortcomings. He stressed that Muslims are followers of a Prophet ο·Ί whose remembrance will continue until the Day of Judgment, but the real need is to follow His ο·Ί Seerat and Sunnah in practical life.

Speaking about Muslim unity, he said that there is much discussion about unity today, but unity should not be based on personal or political interests. If the Muslim community truly wants unity, it should be based on the spirit witnessed at the Battle of Badr, where Muslims united for the sake of Islam and the principles of faith rather than individual interests.

M***i Muhammad Mian Qadri: Qur’an is the Greatest Guide to Understanding Seerat

Addressing the Jalsa, Maulana M***i Muhammad Mian Qadri, Sajjadah Nasheen of Khanqah Usmania Qadria, Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh, said that anyone wishing to understand the Seerat of the Holy Prophet ο·Ί should study the Holy Qur’an, where Allah Almighty addresses and describes His beloved Prophet ο·Ί with unparalleled love and reverence.

He said that the Qur’an is a source of guidance and teaches believers to honour, respect and revere the Holy Prophet ο·Ί. Speaking about the sanctity of Makkah Mukarramah, he highlighted the honour bestowed upon the sacred land blessed by the footsteps of the Beloved Prophet ο·Ί.

Prof. Hafeez-ur-Rehman: Islam Stands With the Oppressed

Dr. Hafeez-ur-Rehman, Professor at JNTU, said that Islam teaches believers to stand with the oppressed and resist oppression and injustice. Referring to historical figures, he said that tyrants such as Ni**od, Shimar, Shaddad and Yazid have become figures of condemnation in history, while those who raised their voices against oppression continue to be remembered with honour.

He said that both Islam and the Constitution of India teach the values of patriotism and that Indian Muslims have repeatedly demonstrated their commitment to the nation through personalities such as Maulana Fazl-e-Haq Khairabadi, Ashfaqullah Khan and Brigadier Abdul Hamid.

Professor Hafeez-ur-Rehman said that attempts were made in different parts of the world to stop the remembrance of the Holy Prophet ο·Ί, but such efforts failed. Instead, the remembrance of the Prophet ο·Ί has become a source of inspiration for standing against injustice and oppression.

He recalled that the V. P. Singh government introduced a public holiday on Milad-un-Nabi ο·Ί in 1990, and the tradition has continued since then.

Concern Over Waqf Properties and Conditions of Muslims in Hyderabad

Dr. Hafeez-ur-Rehman expressed concern over the condition of Muslims in Hyderabad and alleged that valuable Waqf properties are being damaged and lost. He recalled that at one time, three major Urdu newspapers of Hyderabad, under the leadership of Zahid Ali Khan, had launched a movement for the protection of Waqf properties, which achieved considerable success.

He questioned the present situation and said that while claims are being made elsewhere in the country about protecting Muslim interests and securing justice for Muslims, valuable Waqf properties in Hyderabad continue to face serious challenges.

Amjed Ullah Khan Raises Jamia Nizamia Waqf Land Issue

Addressing the gathering, Amjed Ullah Khan, Spokesman of Majlis Bachao Tehreek, highlighted the difficulties faced by MBT in organising the Jalsa-e-Rahmat-ul-Alameen ο·Ί and spoke about what he described as attempts to obstruct the programme.

He recalled the contribution of late Ghazi-e-Millat Haji Mohammed Amanullah Khan, who initiated the Jalsa-e-Rahmat-ul-Alameen ο·Ί under the banner of the Majlis Bachao Tehreek. Amjed Ullah Khan said that the programme has been organised continuously for the last 35 years with devotion and respect and that MBT will continue this tradition.

Amjed Ullah Khan also spoke about various issues concerning Muslims in Telangana during the period from 2014 to 2024 and thereafter under the Congress government. He particularly expressed concern over the government's approach towards the Waqf land of Jamia Nizamia and criticised what he described as the silence of those who claim to represent the public.

He appealed to the people of Hyderabad to question their respective elected representatives about the Jamia Nizamia Waqf land and seek clarity regarding its protection and future.

Syed Mukarram Appeals to Youth to Improve Their Character

Syed Mukarram from Chicago, USA presently in Hyderabad, Telangana addressed the Jalsa, recalled his longstanding association with late Ghazi-e-Millat Alhaj Mohammed Amanullah Khan (former MLA) & founder MBT and said that the late leader had treated him like one of his own children.

Addressing the youth of Hyderabad, Syed Mukarram appealed to them to improve their character, conduct and moral values. He said that human beings have a purpose behind their creation and that forgetting this purpose leads to humiliation and decline.

He stressed that the central message of all Prophets was Tawheedβ€”the Oneness of Allah, and reminded the gathering that Allah is not merely the Lord of Muslims but Rabb-ul-Alameen, the Lord of all worlds. He also warned against pride and arrogance, saying that arrogance ultimately destroys an individual and a community.

Maulana M***i Ghulam Dastagir Ashrafi, Kamil of Jamia Nizamia and General Secretary of the Sunni Ulama Board; Maulana Syed Bakhtiyar Alam, Imam and Khateeb of Jamia Masjid Mahdavia, Musheerabad; Abdul Qader Sajid (Secretary MBT Telangana) and Altaf Naseeb Khan (MBT leader) also addressed the gathering.

The welcome address was delivered by Syed Mustafa Mehmood, General Secretary of Majlis Bachao Tehreek and President of the Reception Committee.

The programme commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Qari Ghulam Ahmed Niazi. Hazrat Mohammed Samdani, Hafiz Nawal-ur-Rehman, Mohammed Meraj Ahmed, Syed Shah Nawaz Makhsusi, Qari Mohammed Haroon Ahmed, Mohammed Shuja-ur-Rehman and Hafiz Mohammed Mustafa presented Naat-e-Sharif in praise of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ο·Ί.

Key Message of the Jalsa

The Jalsa emphasised that the true tribute to Rahmat-ul-Alameen ο·Ί is not limited to gatherings and speeches, but requires Muslims to practically adopt the Prophet's ο·Ί teachings of faith, brotherhood, justice, compassion, peace, moral character, resistance to oppression and unity for the sake of Islam.
