Social Audit of Schools
Nowadays we are seeing in the news that Socially active persons are inspecting the schools' amenities etc in Rajashtan and UP .
In Rajasthan some goons attacked them thrashed them and drove them away. It is nothing but suicidal.
Social Audit by the concerned persons or stakeholders must be welcome by the school authorities. They should not obstruct them. In fact, the authorities must open the gates and allow them to do their job and assist them.
It is very strange that the UP government banned entry to such activists. I don't know in which age theay are living.
The activists have exposed untidy toilets, building in a dilapidated condition, classes held in cattle shedss Don't they know that the girls need clean toilets. Parents must understand this and join the movement of the activists. Hygiene and infrastructure must be maintained on a continuous basis. Inspector or auditor is not hindrance on school. He is the purpose of the mission of the schools.
We are going to achieve 5 trillion economy. But what is the condition of government primary schools. Why are the governments trying to hide the factual situation?
In their local area the people must organize Social Audit Groups to continuously monitor the condition of the schools.
Alas, it is not happening

చిప్కో ఆందోళన 1973 గుర్తున్నాదా ఎవరికైనా? ఇప్ప్డుడు మళ్ళీ అదే తరహా లో ప్రజలు defarestation ని వ్యతిరేకిస్తున్నారు.

చిప్కో అంటే అంటుకుని ఉండు అని. చెట్లు నరక వద్దని ఛమోలీ జిల్లా ఉత్తరాఖండ్ ప్రజలు చేసిన ఆందోళన. వారు చెట్లను రెండు చేతులతో కౌగలించుకుని చెట్లని రక్షించమని ఆందోళన చేసారు.

అటవీ రక్షణ, పర్యావరణ రక్షణ ధ్యేయగా
గౌర దేవి అనే మహిళా, సుందరిలాల్ బహుగుణ అనే పర్యావరణ ఉద్యమకారుడు ఇతరులు వనరక్షణ ఉద్యమం చేపట్టారు. చాల సంవత్సరాల తరువాత శ్రీమతి గాంధీ ప్రభుత్వం చెట్లు నరకటాన్ని 1980 లో నిషేధించింది.

ఇప్పుడు రహదారి విస్తరణ పేరుతో చెట్లు నరుకుతుంటే ప్రజలు ఆందోళన చేస్తున్నారు.

Today, many families are rediscovering the deeper teachings found in ancient scriptures. More daughters are stepping forward to perform the final rites of their parents when the situation requires it. They do this not to challenge tradition, but to honor their loved ones with sincerity, dignity, and devotion. In many ways, this shift brings families closer to the true spirit of dharma described in sacred texts. When rituals are guided by love, respect, and responsibility rather than rigid customs, their real meaning becomes clear. It reminds us that the purpose of these sacred rites is to express gratitude and offer a heartfelt farewell.

During Holi festival, one thing inevitably comes to my mind. The Holi song from the movie Kati Patang sung by Rajesh Khanna. While singing the song and applying Holi colors, Rajesh Khanna dances, and as he does so, red color from his body falls onto the widow Asha Parekh's parting (on her forehead). It symbolizes that the widow will remarry.
Widow remarriages are now quite common. But what is the status of widows? They are considered unfortunate or ill-fated. They are deemed useless for betel nut ceremonies. They cannot give blessings. They must not come forward. They have no respect in name.
If the wise come together and implement some reforms on this issue, that would be the greatest Hindu reformation. They call it suhaag (marital bliss). If they can restore her suhaag, a hundred crore salutes to those noble souls.

America's Defeat in Iran: 1979 Iran Hostage Crisis.

Shia Islamist cleric Grand Ayatollah Ruhullah Khomeini assumed responsibilities as the supreme leader of Iran.

The Iranian monarchy was abolished.

In 1979, Iran's Shah was forcibly ousted. Under the leadership of Ayatollah Ruhulla Khomeini, a revolution took place in which Iran's Shah Pahlavi fled the country. Iran became a republic. The deposed Shah left the country but many nations refused him asylum. Due to his ill health, he wanted to come to America for treatment. American President Jimmy Carter also initially refused entry. However, under pressure from Henry Kissinger and others, he relented and allowed entry for medical treatment. This angered Iran's revolutionaries. Later, the Shah was shifted to Egypt. Sadat granted him permanent asylum there. His cancer worsened, and his pancreas was removed. He died on 27.07.1980.

Meanwhile, in a massive show of defiance, followers of Iran's Ayatollah Khomeini—students—on 04.11.1979 surrounded and seized the US Embassy building, taking about 60 embassy staff hostage. They held them captive for nearly 444 days.

The Jimmy Carter government was powerless to act. Carter made extensive efforts through diplomatic channels to secure the hostages' release. Finally, the Carter administration planned a commando operation.

To rescue 53 American embassy staff, they launched Operation Eagle Claw, a 1980 US military mission. But the commando operation failed.

The plan was for one passenger plane and two more fighter planes to land outside Tehran; from there, they would proceed by jeeps to Tehran to free and extract the hostages. While refueling at a desert airstrip near Tehran, the planes collided accidentally and exploded. It was reported that on April 24–25, 1980, the complex operation was aborted at a remote desert location ("Desert One") due to equipment failure and a fatal collision. The incident resulted in 8 US service member deaths. They left the plane debris there.

Later, under the Algiers Accords, the hostages were released after 444 days in custody (from 04.11.1979 to 19.01.1981). However, as a result, Carter lost the election. By then, Ronald Reagan had become president. Reagan deputed Carter to secure the release of hostages. That was Reagan's magnanimity and sympathy for Carter.

హోలీ పండగకి నాకు తప్పనిసరిగా ఒక విషయం జ్ఞప్తి కి వస్తుంది. రాజెష్ ఖన్నా పాడిన కటిపతంగ్ సినిమా లోనే హోలీ పాట. ఆ పాట పడుతూ హోలీ రంగు చిమ్ముకుంటూ రాజేష్ ఖన్నా డాన్స్ చేస్తూ ఉంటె, రాజేష్ ఖన్నా ఒంటి పైనుండి విధవరాలయిన ఆశాపారేఖ్ నుదిటిపైన ఎర్రరంగు పడుతుంది. విధవరాలు మల్లి పెళ్లి చేసుకుంటుందని సూచకం.

విధవ వివాహాలు ఇప్పుడు కామన్ గ జరుగుతున్నాయి. కానీ విధవల స్టేటస్ ఏమిటి అంటే వాళ్ళు అభాగ్యులు, లేదా దౌర్భగ్యులు. వారు తాంబూలనికి పనికి రారు. వాళ్ళు ఆశీర్వదించలేరు. వారు ఎదురు రాకూడదు. పేరంట గౌరవాలు లేవు.

ఈ విషయంలో విజ్ఞులు కలగా చేసుకుని కొన్ని రిఫార్మ్స్ చేయగలిగితే అదే పెద్ద హైందవ సంస్కరణ. సుహాగ్ అంటారు. ఆమె సుహాగ్ ని పునఃస్థాపితం చెయ్యగలిగితే ఆ మహానుభావులకి శత కోటి ప్రణామాలు.
