Dharmendra Pradhan’s Tenure Demands Scrutiny and Sacking him as Union Minister
Prime Minister, the hallmark of a transformative leader is the courage to prune the deadwood from their administration. While you have often spoken of "Minimum Government, Maximum Governance," the continued presence of Dharmendra Pradhan in your Cabinet suggests a persistent "Blind Spot" that is now too vivid to ignore. For the sake of the nation's progress, the time has come to consider his immediate removal.
A Legacy of Stagnation in Energy and Steel
Pradhan’s seven-year tenure (2014–2021) as the Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas remains a period of wasted potential. Despite the massive resources at his disposal, the results were abysmal:
• Exploration Drought: Under his watch, ONGC failed to make significant new oil discoveries, leaving India’s energy security in a precarious state.
• The Arbitration Sinkhole: Millions of dollars were funnelled into international litigation and arbitrations regarding the KG-D6 block. Despite your government’s own accusations of oil theft, Pradhan failed to bring the perpetrators to justice, resulting in nothing but a massive drain on the exchequer.
• Industrial Decay: His oversight of the Steel ministry saw a similarly "rotten" performance from SAIL, raising questions about his ability to manage high-tech, industrial portfolios.
The Educational Mismatch and Social Risk
When shifted to the Ministry of Education and Skill Development, the hope was for a visionary overhaul. Instead, we have seen the introduction of UGC guidelines that mirror failed Western "DEI" (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) concepts.
By entertaining these divisive ideologies—often used as tools by foreign "Deep State" operatives—Pradhan has inadvertently stoked social friction. By instigating sensitive SC/ST debates rather than focusing on merit-based skill development, he has handed a potent weapon to those seeking regime change and domestic unrest.
The "Subservience" Factor
One must ask: What qualifies a man with a dubious educational background in Arts and Anthropology to lead the nation's high-tech and intellectual centres? The perception is growing that Pradhan remains in power not because of his brilliance, but because he offers the "servility" that stronger, more knowledgeable strategists do not. Unlike peers who might offer constructive dissent, Pradhan appears to be a "Blind Spot" appointment—someone who fulfils the criteria of being subservient while failing the criteria of being effective.
A Liability to "Viksit Bharat"
Prime Minister, you have often been accused of avoiding associates who might overshadow you with their wisdom. Whether this complex is real or perceived, the results of Pradhan’s portfolios speak for themselves. From zero oil exploration to the verge of civil unrest through faulty education policies, his track record is one of consistent failure.
If India is to truly transform into a global capital of excellence, it cannot be led by those who treat critical ministries as platforms for mediocrity. For the credibility of your government and the stability of the nation, Dharmendra Pradhan must be sacked.
