*THE BAR IS NOT EQUAL FOR EVERYONE*
Not because of lack of talent -
but, because many young lawyers simply cannot afford to stay.
The reality is uncomfortable:
• The initial years in litigation come with financial instability
• Many juniors depend on minimal stipends or none at all
• First-generation lawyers face the toughest barriers
• Talent is forced to exit for survival, not choice
In response, the Court has proposed a Young Lawyers' Professional Assistance Fund — a step toward providing financial support during the most vulnerable phase of a lawyer's career.
This is more than a policy idea.
It is an acknowledgment of a long-ignored truth:
The legal profession should not be sustainable only for those who can afford it.
For every fresher and junior advocate:
Your struggle is real. And it is finally being recognized.
The question now is -
Will this become a turning point for a more inclusive Bar?
