Delhi Court grants bail in an “false promise to marry” r**e case.

Advocate Vineet Jindal appeared for the applicant/accused and argued that the complainant, aged about 36 years and a postgraduate, was fully aware of the nature and development of the relationship. He further submitted that there was never any promise of marriage, as the complainant herself had specifically stated in her statement before the learned Judicial Magistrate under Section 183 BNSS that there was no commitment of marriage between the applicant and the prosecutrix.

It was also argued that the FIR was lodged after a delay of five months as an afterthought, with the motive to extort the applicant after he had started his married life.

दिल्ली: याचिकाकर्ता की ओर से फिल्म “घूसखोर पंडत” के शीर्षक पर आपत्ति जताने वाले अधिवक्ता विनीत जिंदल ने कहा,
“इस फिल्म के शीर्षक में ‘पंडत’ शब्द से पहले एक बहुत ही मानहानिकारक और आपत्तिजनक शब्द का उपयोग किया गया था। इस संबंध में हमने दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट में एक याचिका दायर की थी, जिसकी आज सुनवाई हुई। हमारी मांग थी कि इस शीर्षक को हटाया जाए क्योंकि यह मानहानिकारक है और इसका नाम बदला जाए।

फिल्म के निर्देशक और पूरी फिल्म को प्रायोजित करने वाले नेटफ्लिक्स ने पहले ही एक बयान जारी किया था कि वे सभी सामग्री और विज्ञापन हटा रहे हैं। आज याचिका पर सुनवाई के दौरान नेटफ्लिक्स ने कहा कि फिल्म का शीर्षक बदला जाएगा।

इसके अतिरिक्त, सामग्री (कंटेंट) के संबंध में हमने अनुरोध किया कि उसका सत्यापन किया जाए। हालांकि, कानून के अनुसार जब तक सामग्री किसी ओटीटी प्लेटफॉर्म पर जारी नहीं हो जाती, तब तक उसमें बदलाव पर चर्चा नहीं की जा सकती। इसलिए, यदि हमें कोई अनुचित सामग्री दिखाई देती है, तो हम इस मामले में फिर से अदालत का रुख करेंगे।”
