In this video, I explain the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP) step-by-step:

🔹 Who can file an insolvency petition before the NCLT?

🔹 How is a Section 7 / Section 9 application initiated?

🔹 What does the NCLT examine before admitting the petition?

🔹 What happens after the petition is admitted?

🔹 How is the Interim Resolution Professional (IRP) appointed?

🔹 What happens to the powers of the Board of Directors after commencement of CIRP?

🔹 How does the IRP take control and manage the affairs of the corporate debtor?

📌 Important: Once CIRP commences, the management structure of the company changes significantly. Under Section 17 of the IBC, the powers of the Board of Directors are suspended and the management of the affairs of the corporate debtor vests in the IRP.

This video explains the entire transition from insolvency filing → NCLT admission → appointment of IRP → management taking control of the company in simple terms.
