Law Mantra Trust, in collaboration with Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur, successfully organized the Two-Day International Seminar on "Women and Child Rights: Legal Perspectives and Challenges" on 17th and 18th July 2026
The seminar served as a vibrant platform for academicians, legal professionals, judges, researchers, advocates, policymakers, and students from across India to engage in meaningful discussions on contemporary legal issues affecting women and children. The event reflected a shared commitment to strengthening justice, equality, and human rights through academic dialogue and legal research.
The Inaugural Session was graced by eminent dignitaries:

• Ms. V. Veena Gowda, Women's Rights Lawyer (Guest of Honour)
• Prof. (Dr.) Amol Deo Chavhan, Dean (Academic), Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai (Guest of Honour)
• Prof. (Dr.) Sharanjit, Professor of Law, Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab (Guest of Honour)
The inaugural session was welcomed by Dr. Bhavna Batra, Vice President (Academics), Law Mantra Trust, while the event was led under the guidance of Mr. Kishor Kumar Mishra, President, Law Mantra Trust.
The seminar witnessed an overwhelming response from participants representing National Law Universities, Central Universities, State Universities, private institutions, research organizations, and the legal profession across the country.
The academic deliberations were conducted through seven technical sessions, chaired by distinguished professors, senior academicians, and legal experts from leading institutions across India. The sessions facilitated rigorous scholarly engagement, constructive feedback, and interdisciplinary exchange of ideas, significantly enriching the research experience of all participants.
The seminar successfully brought together legal scholarship and practical perspectives, encouraging critical dialogue on emerging challenges while exploring innovative legal solutions for the protection and advancement of women and child rights.
