It is truly a very special moment for me to stand here today, to be felicitated and honoured, and to be a part of the Flag Hoisting Ceremony celebrating the 80th Independence Day of our great nation India 🇮🇳
It feels even more special to return here as an alumna of my wonderful and grounded school (Not a fancy school of this era) but which had strong educational values, ethical, moral and hindu religios practice taught from the very beginning—a place where I once stood as a student, with dreams in my eyes and an entire future ahead of me.
On this proud occasion of 80th Independence Day, we all should remember with immense gratitude the courage, determination and sacrifices of our freedom fighters, who gave us the priceless privilege of living in a free India.
But independence is not only about freedom; it is equally about responsibility—our responsibility towards our country, our society and one another.
I would simply say: Dream big, work hard, respect your parents and teachers, remain humble, and above all, become good human beings first. Success is important, but the values with which you achieve that success are even more important. They are what guide you and give true meaning to your journey.
Whatever I have achieved in my life, my school and my teachers have played an important role in laying its foundation. Coming back here today and having the honour of hoisting our Tricolour fills me with immense pride, nostalgia and gratitude.
My heartfelt thanks to the school management and my respected teachers for inviting me and giving me the privilege of being a part of this beautiful celebration.
May our Tricolour always fly high, and may each one of us, in our own way, contribute towards making India stronger, kinder and more prosperous.
Jai Hind! Jai Bharat! 🇮🇳
