20.08.2026: CDLSA conducted a Legal Awareness Session under the SPRUHA Scheme at SSK-484, Baba Colony, Burari, Delhi, on the topic “Child Rights, Protection and Access to Legal Aid / बाल अधिकार, संरक्षण एवं विधिक सहायता तक पहुंच.” The session was conducted by Ms. Pooja Kaushik, Legal Aid Counsel (LAC).

The session focused on creating awareness about child rights, child protection mechanisms, and access to free legal aid and legal services. Participants were sensitized about the importance of safeguarding the rights and interests of children and ensuring timely access to appropriate legal assistance and support.

31.08.2026: CDLSA conducted a Mobile Road Safety Awareness Drive in various areas of Burari, Delhi, utilizing the Central DLSA Legal Aid on Wheels Van as part of its outreach and legal awareness initiatives.

The awareness drive focused on promoting safe road behaviour and compliance with traffic rules through the display of road safety messages, public announcements, and distribution of IEC materials. Sh. Shubhag Pandey and Sh. Vachaspati Pandey, PLVs (Adhikar Mitras), conducted the awareness activities and interacted with members of the public to spread key messages on responsible and safe road usage.

31.08.2026: CDLSA organized an educational visit of 47 students from Miranda House College to Permanent Lok Adalat-II, Mata Sunderi Lane, Delhi, under the initiative for strengthening awareness and outreach regarding Permanent Lok Adalats (PLAs).

The visit was facilitated by Ms. Pooja Kaushik, Legal Aid Counsel (LAC).

The visit provided the students with an opportunity to understand the role, functioning, and significance of Permanent Lok Adalats in providing accessible and effective mechanisms for dispute resolution. The students gained valuable exposure to the functioning of the institution and its role in facilitating access to justice.

31.08.2026: In furtherance of the JAGRITI Scheme, 2025 and the awareness campaign “Empowered Youth, Stronger India / सशक्त युवा, सशक्त भारत”, CDLSA organized a Legal Awareness Session at Daulat Ram College, Delhi, on the topic “Digital Safety, Cyber Rights and Online Privacy for Young Women.” The session was conducted by Ms. Manpreet Kaur, Legal Aid Counsel (LAC).

The session focused on sensitizing students about digital safety, data privacy, responsible use of digital platforms, financial literacy, and precautions against online scams and frauds. Participants were also made aware of the available legal remedies and mechanisms for seeking assistance in cases of cyber and online financial offences and were encouraged to promote digital and financial safety among their peers.

25.08.2026: In furtherance of the JAGRITI Scheme, 2025 and the awareness campaign “Empowered Youth, Stronger India / सशक्त युवा, सशक्त भारत”, CDLSA organized a Legal Awareness Session at the Community Learning Centre established by Than Singh Ki Pathshala Foundation, Lal Qila, Delhi.

The session, organized in observance of International Youth Day, was conducted on the theme “Legal Literacy for Youth: Know Your Rights and Remedies / युवाओं के लिए कानूनी साक्षरता: अपने अधिकार एवं विधिक उपाय जानें” by Ms. Shivangi, Legal Aid Counsel (LAC).

The session aimed to promote legal literacy among young persons by creating awareness about their rights, available legal remedies, and the importance of seeking timely legal assistance. Participants were encouraged to become informed and responsible citizens and to actively utilize legal services for the protection of their rights.

25.08.2026: CDLSA conducted a Training Programme for nursing students and healthcare personnel at St. Stephen’s Hospital, Tis Hazari, Delhi, on the topic “Awareness on One Stop Centre: Understanding the ‘Sakhi’ Model for Integrated Medical and Legal Support for Women.” The session was conducted by Ms. Pooja Kaushik, LAC.

The programme aimed to strengthen awareness regarding the Sakhi – One Stop Centre model and its role in providing integrated support to women. Participants were sensitized about the importance of coordination between medical assistance, legal support, counselling, and other essential services, ensuring timely and effective support for women in need.

24.08.2026: A Joint Refresher Training Session was organized for the members of the DAWN Unit – Drug Awareness and Wellness Navigation Unit of Central DLSA and West DLSA through Webex.

Ms. Palak Devashish Vakil, LCCRA, Central DLSA, served as the Resource Person for the session.

The refresher training was organized to strengthen the understanding of the members regarding their roles and responsibilities, procedures to be followed, effective coordination mechanisms, and implementation of activities under the DAWN Unit. The session provided an opportunity to enhance the capacity and coordination of the members towards the effective implementation of initiatives relating to drug awareness, prevention, and wellness.

The training session was organized to reinforce the understanding of the members regarding their roles and responsibilities, prescribed procedures, effective coordination mechanisms, and implementation of activities under the JAGRITI Unit. The session provided an important platform for strengthening the capacity of the members and promoting coordinated efforts towards the effective implementation of the objectives of the JAGRITI Scheme.

The refresher training was organized to reinforce the understanding of the members regarding their roles and responsibilities, procedures to be followed, effective coordination mechanisms, and implementation of activities under the ASHA Unit. The session contributed towards strengthening the capacity and coordination of the members for the effective implementation of the objectives of the ASHA initiative.
