On the occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on 26th June 2026, Central DLSA is raising awareness to educate the public, especially youth, about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the dangers of illicit trafficking. The programme aims to promote a drug-free society through legal awareness, community participation, and preventive education. Participants shall be encouraged to adopt healthy lifestyles and spread the message of "Say No to Drugs, Yes to Life."

14.05.2026: CDLSA conducted a Legal Awareness Session at SSK-483, Baba Colony, Burari, Delhi, on the topic “Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act, 2009.”

The session was conducted by Ms. Preeti Thakur, LAC.
The programme focused on creating awareness about the fundamental right of every child to receive free and compulsory education and highlighted the importance of preventing school dropout. Participants were informed about the key provisions of the RTE Act, the responsibilities of parents and educational institutions, and the legal safeguards available to ensure access to quality education for children.

The session also emphasized the role of education in empowering children and breaking cycles of social and economic disadvantage. Through interactive discussions, participants were encouraged to support continued education and contribute towards creating an inclusive learning environment for every child.
