The dignity of every lawyer must always remain protected and respected. ⚖️

“Judges judge the cases, but lawyers judge the judges.”

This is not just a statement — it reflects the strength, responsibility and collective voice of the Bar. Every concern raised in the Open Court deserves to be addressed with openness, transparency and fairness.

At the same time, issues relating to unnecessary costs and recurring financial burdens on lawyers also need serious and practical attention.

Young lawyers deserve better infrastructure, better opportunities and a stronger support system. ⚖️

Lack of proper research spaces, conference facilities, clerical support, listing assistance and professional client meeting areas continues to be a major challenge. With the right vision and collective support, efforts will be made to extend High Court Library access till 8 PM and establish 4 dedicated centres across the Tricity for client meetings, workstations, research and professional support facilities.

A stronger Bar grows when young lawyers grow. 🙏

Better facilities and hygienic food options for members of the Bar remain an important priority. ⚖️

A suitable space near the New Chamber Block area has already been identified, and efforts will be made to develop a proper Food Court with around 400–450 seating capacity for advocates and members.

My third issue is regarding the streamlined listing of cases. ⚖️

We all know how, despite checking the case list in the evening, our matters are often listed much later in the day. By the time our cases are finally taken up, a substantial part of the day is already spent waiting in court.

With your support, efforts will be made to ensure a more systematic and efficient listing process by seeking proper directions from the Registry, so that matters are listed appropriately and unnecessary delays are avoided.

My second issue is regarding the Advocate Protection Act. ⚖️

Being officers of the court, our security is essential to ensure that we can stand fearlessly for our clients.

This issue has already been taken up through an intervener application, and representation has also been submitted to the Hon’ble Chief Minister, with assurance of implementation within six months in Punjab & Haryana.

Advocate protection is not just a demand — it is a necessity.

Blessed to have received the opportunity to visit Sri Kartarpur Sahib in the very first Jatha (group) after the Corridor opened in 2019. 🙏

That unforgettable experience deeply inspired me, and later I had the privilege of leading a Jatha of 300+ Advocates to Sri Kartarpur Sahib. With Waheguru’s grace, every responsibility was carried out with sincerity, dedication and faith.
