New year has started with the big success.
Special Civil Suit was filed before Civil Court at on behalf of Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation against its dismissed employee for recovery of amount.
The defendant was entrusted with the work of selling discount passes to passengers issued by MSRTC. The defendant used to sell the passes but did not deposit the amount received after selling of passes in the office.
Inquiry was initiated against the defendant when the misappropriation was noticed. Defendant was found guilty during inquiry. Defendant was dismissed from the services on the ground of integrity.
Thereafter, above suit was filed. 4 witnesses were examined in support of rhe case of plaintiff MSRTC.
The Civil Court partly allowed the suit and held that, defendant has not deposited the amount of Rs. 10,26,598/- with office of plaintiff MSRTC and used it for his personal use.
Civil Court directed the defendant to pay above amount to MSRTC with 6% interest from the date of suit. Court also directed defendant to pay compensation of Rs. 2 lakhs to MSRTC. Akshay Suresh Radikar of ASR Advocate & Legal Consultant represented the plaintiff MSRTC.
