Lawyers for Change Fellowships

Lawyers for Change Fellowships Lawyers for Change is a leadership programme designed exclusively for lawyers.

The programme is a joint initiative of Centre for Social Justice, Ahmedabad and ECONET, Pune. Lawyers for Change (LfC) is a two year fellowship programme designed exclusively for lawyers who aspire to bring about change in the society. It provides a platform to young lawyers to help them build the identity and skills required for ‘social justice lawyering’. The programme engages faculty members fr

om amongst well known human rights educators, retired members of the judiciary, senior lawyers and practitioners in the field who interact with the Fellows in ‘contact sessions’ held once in every two months. In between the two months, the Fellows undertake legal interventions while working with rights based organizations or senior lawyers in different parts of the country and are connected with the academy electronically. The programme commenced in the year 2011 and currently has two batches comprising of 20 young lawyers from 15 states of India.
