The BIGGEST LIE circulating is that Israel is engaged in a genocide in Gaza.
Many people are complicit in this lie, including certain politicians, celebrities, media reporters.
The truth is the IDF is taking extensive measures to minimize civilian casualties in Gaza.
Some key facts to counter the false narrative are:
- The IDF has set up a designated humanitarian “safe zone” for civilians in Southern Gaza
- The IDF has informed Gazans about humanitarian routes and aid through every possible medium including text messages, flyers, media reports etc.
- The IDF has opened humanitarian routes even at risk to its own soldiers.
- The IDF has been notifying civilians (who haven’t evacuated) prior to airstrikes in order to give them the opportunity to flee, even at the cost of notifying Hamas terrorists as well.
Are these the actions of militaries with genocidal goals? Has there even been a military that has employed all these measures to protect civilians?
Hamas is deliberately hiding its terrorists and rocket caches under schools, hospitals, mosques, and civilian residential areas. When we say Hamas is using civilians as human shields this is not a slogan, it’s a deliberate tactic they’ve practiced for years. Their aim is not only to shield their terrorist operations from airstrikes but also to increase the potential civilian casualties when the IDF does strike, hoping to garner greater international attention, LIE to the world and further their cause. This is PURE EVIL.
The bottom line is this- war is a tragedy. It is tragic when uninvolved civilians die.
But the truth is that Hamas intentionally causes Palestinian civilian casualties whereas the IDF goes to great lengths to protect them. Because of Hamas, civilian casualties are inevitable. Hamas is responsible for every single civilian casualty. Labeling the IDF's actions in Gaza as genocide is both factually and morally wrong, as it absolves responsibility from and supports Hamas.
