מצד אחד, חברות התרופות שהדהימו בפיתוח מואץ של חיסוני הקורונה וגוזרות עכשיו רווחי עתק בשוק אינסופי. מצד השני, המדינות כולן שמנסות לחזור לשליטה ומאיימות על חברות התרופות בוויתור גורף על זכויות קניין רוחני. כיצד יתמודדו חברות התרופות עם האיום? איך ישפיע הוויתור על החברות התעשייתיות, דוגמת רפאל הישראלית שנרתמו לטיפול במשבר? והאם הדבר ישפר את מצבם של אותם מיליוני אנשים ברחבי העולם שטרם חוסנו? היבטים אלו נדונים במאמר שכתבתי והתפרסם ככתבת שער במגזין iam.

מצורף לינק למאמר מקצועי שהתפרסם ככתבת שער במגזין iam- informing IP Value. במאמר אני סוקרת את המשמעויות הצפויות אם תתקבל הצעה לויתור על זכויות קניין רוחני לטכנולוגיות קורונה. אני מתארת חברות דוגמת "רפאל" הישראלית שנרתמו למציאת פתרונות גם במחיר פגיעה ביתרונות עסקיים כגון קניין רוחני, וטוענת שההצעה לויתור על הזכויות נועדה לשנות את יחסי הכוחות בין חברות התרופות לממשלות. נראה שזה אכן עובד: מדינות G7 חברו לפארמה ויתרמו חיסונים למדינות העניות במחיר עלות.

חוזרים לשגרה ברוכה, והמכללה האקדמית ספיר Sapir Academic College, אשר בשטח המועצה האזורית שער הנגב, תקיים מחר את אירוע הסיום של המעבדה לחדשנות ויזמות במשפט והפרקטיקה המשפטית לחדשנות ויזמות.

The program reflects the challenge small/medium companies face in handling sophisticated IP matters - more and more companies embrace professional management with IP managers who are also qualified patent attorneys. אני מחכה בהתרגשות למפגשי החג, חג שמח!

לכבוד יום האשה הבינלאומי, רואיינתי בזירת הבלוגים של זמן ישראל בנושא נשים והמצאות. הייתי שמחה לומר שמחצית ההמצאות הנרשמות בישראל או בעולם כולו הן המצאות של נשים, אך זה לא כך – ולא בגלל שנשים אינן יצירתיות. מחקרים מראים שקידום נשים בחברות משפר את הביצועים העסקיים של החברות. בתחום הפטנטים אפשר לקדם המצאות של נשים מהנדסות ומפתחות, ואנו כחברה יכולים לעודד תלמידות בתיכון ובאוניברסיטאות ללמוד מקצועות מדעיים וטכנולוגיים.
