🔻 Каковы новые исключения для врачей для Express Entry?
5 профессий (перечисленных ниже) врачей освобождаются от требования о предложении работы и неприемлемости самозанятых заявителей для Express Entry.

Им больше не нужно будет демонстрировать, что согласованное предложение о работе по договоренности должно действовать в течение как минимум года после даты выдачи визы на постоянное проживание.

Однако это предложение о работе должно быть сделано правительством провинции или территории, государственным учреждением, органом, назначенным правительством, или организацией поставщика медицинских услуг, предоставляющей медицинские услуги, финансируемые государством.

Кроме того, они могут претендовать на баллы за опыт работы в качестве индивидуального предпринимателя (независимый подрядчик) за любую работу, выполненную в рамках перечисленных ниже профессий.

Как правило, опыт работы не по найму не подходит для Express Entry.

Express Entry for doctors

🔻 What are the new exemptions for physicians for Express Entry?
The 5 professions (listed below) of doctors are exempt from the job offer requirement and ineligible self-employed applicants for Express Entry.

They will no longer need to demonstrate that an agreed job offer under the arrangement must be in place for at least one year after the date of issue of the permanent residence visa.

However, this job offer must be made by a provincial or territorial government, a government agency, a government-designated body, or a health care provider organization providing publicly funded health care services.

In addition, they may claim self-employed (independent contractor) work experience points for any work performed within the occupations listed below.

Generally, self-employed work experience is not eligible for Express Entry.

New requirements for Express Entry funds for 2023

The IRCC has changed the requirements for Express Entry funds for 2023 without announcing it publicly, probably because of the strike as employees were off duty.

According to the IRCC website, acceptable proof of funds must be in the form of official letters from any banks or financial institutions.

The following is a breakdown of the funds needed based on family size.

Новые требования к средствам Express Entry на 2023 год

IRCC изменила требования к средствам Express Entry на 2023 год, не объявив об этом публично, вероятно, из-за забастовки, поскольку сотрудники не работали.

New Volkswagen plant will create 3,000 new jobs

Volkswagen's new plant, announced by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Ontario Premier Doug Ford on April 21, 2023, will create up to 3,000 direct jobs and up to 30,000 indirect jobs.

According to Frank Blom, CEO of PowerCo, a Volkswagen company that makes batteries for electric cars, the plant will be the largest in North America and could become the largest VW plant in the world.

Volkswagen, Europe's largest automaker, last month made historic investments in Ontario and Canada. Volkswagen is investing $7 billion in St. Thomas, Ontario, to build its first overseas plant to produce batteries for electric cars.

📍St. Thomas is a city in the Canadian province of Ontario, just 30 minutes southeast of London and less than 2 hours from Toronto Pearson Airport.

The new Volkswagen Electric Vehicle Battery Facility will occupy about 370 acres, or 378 American soccer fields. The total size of the industrial and supplier park will be 1,500 acres.

This is the largest investment in electric vehicles in Canadian history, a testament to the significant confidence in Ontario's and Canada's highly skilled workforce, strong economy and competitive business environment.

British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and New Brunswick invite PNP candidates

Four Canadian provinces have invited candidates to participate in the recently released results of the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw.

The PNP is Canada's most prominent route to economic immigration. According to the Plan for Immigration Levels 2023-2025, Canada will welcome 117,500 new permanent residents annually through the PNP by the end of 2025.

Онтарио и Манитоба, еще четыре провинции, собираются повысить минимальные ставки заработной платы в октябре 2023 года
 
С 1 октября этого года шесть из десяти провинций Канады повысят региональные минимальные ставки заработной платы.
 
В начале этого месяца федеральная минимальная заработная плата в Канаде выросла с 15,55 до 16,65 долларов. Этот шаг имел большое значение, как тогда отмечало Министерство занятости и социального развития Канады (ESDC), потому что «около 26 000 работающих канадцев зарабатывают менее 15,55 долларов в час».
 
Одновременно с этим повышением минимальной заработной платы на федеральном уровне канадцы в более чем половине провинций страны вскоре увидят повышение минимальных ставок заработной платы на региональном уровне. В частности, ожидаемое повышение минимальной заработной платы с 1 октября будет следующим:
 
Онтарио: до $16,55 с $15,50
 
Манитоба: до $15,30 с $14,15.
 
Саскачеван: до $14 с $13
 
Новая Шотландия: до $15 с $14,50.
 
Ньюфаундленд и Лабрадор: до $15 с $14,50.
 
Остров Принца Эдуарда (PEI): до $15 с $14,50.

Ontario and Manitoba, four other provinces, are set to raise minimum wage rates in October 2023

Six of Canada's 10 provinces will raise regional minimum wage rates starting Oct. 1 this year.

Earlier this month, Canada's federal minimum wage rose from $15.55 to $16.65. The move was significant, as Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) noted at the time, because "about 26,000 working Canadians earn less than $15.55 an hour."

At the same time as this federal minimum wage increase, Canadians in more than half of the country's provinces will soon see minimum wage increases at the regional level. Specifically, the expected minimum wage increases starting Oct. 1 will be as follows:

Ontario: to $16.55 from $15.50

Manitoba: to $15.30 from $14.15.

Saskatchewan: to $14 from $13

Nova Scotia: to $15 from $14.50.

Newfoundland and Labrador: up to $15 from $14.50.

Prince Edward Island (PEI): up to $15 from $14.50.

Note. Saskatchewan has already indicated that they will raise the federal minimum wage again in October 2024 from $14 to $15 an hour.
