If you receive a pension or benefits from Germany, one missed form a year can cut off your payments โ even if nothing else changed.
It's called a life certificate (Lebensbescheinigung) โ proof, at least once a year, that you're still alive and entitled to the pension, allowance, or compensation you're receiving from Germany or another German-speaking country. It has to be certified by a German-speaking notary, or it won't be accepted.
