❌ False.

If the other parent has guardianship rights, their consent is generally required.
If they don't agree, the Court may decide.

If you're applying to relocate with your children, the Court expects far more than simply saying you've found a better opportunity.

You'll usually need to show:
✔ Where you'll live
✔ How the children will attend school
✔ Employment arrangements
✔ Financial security
✔ Family support
✔ Immigration or residency rights
✔ How the other parent will maintain contact

You generally need the other parent’s consent before permanently relocating your child outside Ireland.
