Your September diary may be full, but your company's Annual Return Date will not move with it.
Every Irish company must file a Form B1 with the Companies Registration Office at least once each year, whether the company is trading or not.
There is no general September deadline for all companies. Your filing deadline is based on your company's own Annual Return Date, known as the ARD.
The completed Form B1 must normally reach the CRO within 56 days of its effective date.
For a newly incorporated company, the first Form B1 is due six months after incorporation. Financial statements are not required with this first six-month return.
Most later annual returns must include the relevant financial statements.
You can check your company's ARD and filing history through CORE. It is worth checking early, particularly if your accountant or company secretary needs information from directors before the return can be completed.
Not sure when your Form B1 is due or what documents must be included?
