A Must Watch to understand the Devastating effect these events had on people and their families .
One might understand better why some people got involved in criminality.
Might just put a picture to the jigsaw in some peoples family 🧩🧩🧩💙💙

An Garda Síochána wish to alert the public to a ‘smishing’ scam whereby persons are being contacted by text message, from individuals purporting to be from Allied Irish Bank (AIB), leading them to believe their bank card has been compromised.

The individual is contacted by text message asking them to log onto a website in order to receive a new card. As part of the process they are requested to insert their pin number and other personal data. Once this is completed they are requested to send the compromised card to one of three addresses (listed below), none of which are linked to AIB.

Gardaí are advising the public as follows:
• Never click a link in an unsolicited text
• Never give away personal data like your PIN, card numbers and passwords
• A financial institution would never request a customer to return a card to the bank in such circumstances

An Garda Síochána has been alerted to a scam where members of the public have received fraudulent jury service notices by email.

In the email a request is made to click on a link to get a jury number. This is a scam, and the public are advised not to click on any links.

A genuine jury summons is issued only through the postal system.

The Courts Service of Ireland will never email a message such as this. Jury summonses are mailed via An Post.

Other official communications are sent either by registered post, summons or under warrant.
