Congratulations to our member from Hungary Dr Arne Gobert who received from the President of Hungary the Officer‘s Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Hungary,. This is the highest merit awarded in Hungary.

We are pleased to announce that our member from Singapore Miss Malathi Das has been admitted into the International Academy of Family Lawyers (IAFL) as a Fellow, and as a Member of its Asia Pacific Chapter.

IAFL is a worldwide association of practising lawyers who are recognised by their peers as the most experienced and skilled family law specialists in their respective countries. Membership is by invitation only. IAFL was formed in 1986 to improve the practice of law and administration of justice in the area of divorce and family law throughout the world.

The 2017 AGM has commenced in Lucerne with a welcome dinner. On the second day, after a welcome and talk by the Mayor of Zug, members engaged in an informative series of talks on cryptotechnology, blockchain technology, disruptive business strategies, and bitcoins.

Members are reminded that our Annual General Meeting takes place from 2 to 5 November in Lucerne and Zug, Switzerland.

The Seminar on Blockchain- and Crypto-Technologies and their legal impact will take place on 3 November in Zug.

Important: the final date for hotel bookings is 31 August. If you have not already made your reservation, do not delay.

The next Annual General Meeting of the International Alliance of Practising Lawyers will take place in Lucerne, Switzerland on 4 November. The social and academic programs will commence on Thursday 2 November.

Members should now register to attend and make travel arrangements.
