You’ve seen the headlines.

I beg to differ.
Someone taking home €3,000 a month and spending around €2,300 could save roughly:

€16,800 in 2 years
€25,200 in 3 years
And that’s before pay rises, bonuses, tax refunds or the occasional extra shift.
But here’s the other part people forget:
Your first home does not need to be your forever home.
Think beyond the 4-bed semi with parking and a big garden.
Maybe it’s an apartment.
Maybe it’s smaller.
Maybe it’s within walking distance of the places you love.
Maybe it gives you independence, security and a first step onto the ladder.
Housing is expensive.
That doesn’t automatically mean buying is impossible.
Run your numbers.
Look at your options.
Decide what you actually need from a first home.
Don’t let a headline rule you out before you’ve even checked.
