To celebrate International Women’s Day 2026, our team stepped away from our desks and came together for a Sports Day filled with movement, laughter, and team spirit.

As an all-women firm, it was a meaningful reminder of the importance of supporting one another and prioritising wellbeing both inside and outside the workplace.

This Monday, we walked into City Hall for the Ceremonial Opening of the Legal Year 2026. It was not merely a tradition, it was a living testament to the principles that sustain our practice and our city.

Chief Justice Andrew Cheung spoke about something that hit home: the rule of law is ”more robust and enduring than the outcome of any single case.“ Every time we help a client navigate an appeal, we’re part of that larger story of resilience and fairness.

Secretary for Justice Paul Lam, SC called our common law heritage Hong Kong‘s ”crucial advantage,“ and honestly, we live this truth daily. It’s what our international and mainland clients trust us for that certainty, that predictability.

Then Law Society President Roden Tong reminded us that professionalism and objectivity are our ”currencies.“ Not just nice-to-haves, but the very foundation of trust. At JC Legal, we take this to heart.
