I started GSN Consultancy in September 2019 with one office, one belief, and no guarantee that either would still be standing seven years later. So when the 20th of September came around this year, marking seven years, I did not want a celebration built around numbers or growth charts. I wanted a prayer.
We held a recitation of Sri Sukhmani Sahib, led by Giani Jaswant Singh ji, the head priest of Khalsa Diwan Hong Kong Sikh Temple. The holy congregation gathered not to mark an anniversary in the way a business usually does, but to do Waheguru ji da shukrana (Thanks to Almighty God), to give thanks to the divine Master for what has carried this firm through seven years of cases that succeeded, cases that were hard, and years where the outcome was never fully in our hands.
That is the part of this work people rarely see. Every visa, every investment migration case, every family we have helped move forward, has had a limitation somewhere in it, a moment where the final decision sat with someone else entirely. So the only honest way to mark seven years was to acknowledge that plainly, in front of the people who have stood with GSN from Tsim Sha Tsui outward, and to give thanks rather than take credit.
Seven years in, the lesson has not changed. Honest work, a thorough study of every case, and faith in what is beyond our control, that is what built this firm, and that is what I intend to keep building it on.
Feel free to contact us if you would like to be part of what comes next.
P.S. The prayer mattered more to me this year than any award on the wall.
