隨着 #大灣區 #銀髮經濟 蓬勃發展，本所管理合夥人 #沈豪傑律師 日前出席「銀髮經濟 • 樂齡創新」論壇2026，並精準指出核心痛點：長者福利雖可跨境，但法律權限卻無法自動過河，這直接影響了長者在內地就醫時的醫療決策保障。

為此，沈律師探討在大灣區建立一站式合規認證平台，並制定統一跨境醫療數據授權文本的可行性，期望理順兩地私隱法規，為長者開闢一條合法高效的醫療數據「綠色通道」。

【Bridging Borders: Building a New Aging Ecosystem in the Greater Bay Area】

How can we ensure genuine peace of mind for cross-border retirement?

As the silver economy thrives in the Greater Bay Area, our Managing Partner, Mr. Wilson Shum, recently attended the "Silver Hair Economy • Age-friendly Innovation" Forum 2026 and acutely pointed out a core pain point: while elderly welfare can cross borders, legal authorities do not automatically follow suit. This directly impacts medical decision-making safeguards for the elderly seeking care in the Mainland.

To address this, Wilson explored the feasibility of establishing a one-stop regional compliance certification platform and standardizing cross-border medical data authorization forms. This approach aims to align privacy regulations across the border and pioneer a legal, efficient "green channel" for medical data for the elderly.

We hope to break down institutional barriers and weave a more comprehensive safety net for late-life planning. We are grateful for the opportunity to brainstorm with industry leaders as we jointly explore the future of joyful aging.

【📚 Sparking Curiosity Through Stories! Highlights from "One North Reading Day"】

We were honoured to participate as a supporting organisation for "One North Reading Day" last weekend, celebrating World Book Day and Hong Kong Reading for All Day.

Our Founding Partner, Ms. Careen Wong, hosted an interactive storytelling session to introduce the concept of being law-abiding. To make the experience even more special, we brought along a mini lawyer’s robe for the little ones to try on—letting them feel the weight of responsibility and the professional pride that comes with the gown. 🎓

The energy was incredible! Seeing the children’s eager faces and raised hands reminded us why fostering a love for reading is so vital. In today's fast-paced era of AI and the internet, we hope to inspire the next generation to keep turning pages and seeking knowledge. 📖✨

【沈黃律師事務所走進社區舉辦「平安三寶」講座　協助長者推行晚年規劃】

沈黃律師事務所管理合夥人沈豪傑律師，日前應明愛元朗長者社區中心邀請，親臨該中心主講「平安三寶」法律講座。沈律師在講座中以深入淺出的方式，向出席長者詳細講解「平安三寶」— 即遺囑（俗稱平安紙）、持久授權書及預設醫療指示的重要性，並協助長者釐清有關晚年規劃的常見誤解。

沈黃律師事務所深耕北部都會區元朗超過17年，一直致力於社區關愛工作，關注區內長者。是次講座發揮了本所法律專業優勢，為區內長者提供適切的法律資訊。本所相信，及早進行晚年規劃是關愛家人的體現，期望透過是項活動，與社區攜手構建具保障且和諧的生活環境。

【Managing Partner of Shum Wong & Co., Solicitors conducts legal seminar on “The Three Instruments of Peace” to promote late-life planning for the elderly】

Mr. Wilson Shum, Managing Partner of Shum Wong & Co., Solicitors, was recently invited by the Caritas District Elderly Centre - Yuen Long to deliver a legal seminar on “The Three Instruments of Peace” for elderly members at the centre. During the seminar, Mr. Shum provided a lucid introduction of the importance of “The Three Instruments of Peace”—namely, a Will, an Enduring Power of Attorney, and an Advance Medical Directives—and assisted the elderly in clarifying common misconceptions regarding late-life planning.

Having a long-standing presence in Yuen Long and the Northern Metropolis for over 17 years, Shum Wong & Co., Solicitors has remained committed to community care and the well-being of the elderly in the district. The seminar leveraged the Firm’s professional expertise to provide elderly residents in Yuen Long with relevant legal information. The Firm believes that early planning is a comprehensive expression of care for one’s family, and hopes that this initiative will help the community foster a secure and supportive living environment.

Shum Wong & Co., Solicitors recently held a complimentary legal knowledge seminar at the Yuen Long District Community Services Building. The event focused on two major themes—adverse possession and compensation for land resumption by the Government — drawing significant public interest and participation.

The seminar featured Mr. Wilson Shum, Managing Partner of Shum Wong & Co., Solicitors, who spoke on the proposed law reform on land resumption compensation. We have also invited Mr. Dicky Cheung, barrister, as a guest speaker. As a law firm long-standing presence in Yuen Long and the Northern Metropolis, Shum Wong & Co., Solicitors possesses a profound understanding of New Territories traditional customs. Combined with comprehensive expertise in the latest land-related legal developments, we have accumulated extensive experience in handling land dispute cases.
