In a significant shift, the court has officially abolished both the "absurdity test" and the "conversion test." Moving forward, only the conceptually simple "proportionality test" will be retained as a secondary cross-check.

On 19 May 2026, our partner Mr Andy Tse had pleasure of delivering a legal talk on wills and enduring powers of attorney (EPOA) to staff of Cathay Pacific at Cathay City.

Apart from highlighting the special features and benefits of wills and EPOA, Mr Tse also gave practical tips on drafting these important legal documents. Hopefully the sharing would have helped the audience in better estate planning and advance arrangement of financial affairs in case of losing mental capacity.

On 5 May 2026, we were pleased to participate in an insightful legal seminar at the Quarry Bay Community Hall, dedicated to empowering the Hong Kong community with essential knowledge in estate management and legacy protection.

The session featured an erudite exposition by our Partner, Mr. Andy Tse (謝慶綿律師), who focused on the essential Hong Kong legal framework known as the "Three Treasures of Peace." With proactive planning becoming increasingly vital, Mr. Tse detailed the three pillars of a secure and dignified legacy:
