Greening the skyline has been our mission from Day 1, and we are extremely grateful for another fruitful year with The Loop at South Island Place, getting together with the team at the Fleet Management Limited, VSL Hong Kong Limited and to grow our own seasonal produce, right at the rooftop, surrounded by the amazing nature of Island South.

The Loop at South Island Place is a thriving rooftop farm that brings fresh produce, cleaner air, and a stronger sense of community right where the workplace is, bringing:

🥬 Fresh, sustainable harvests for employees

🌍 Reduced carbon footprint and greener cities

🤝 Team-building through hands-on farming workshops

🌿 Shared harvests with the community with partner Feeding Hong Kong

This past year, we have reached more than 300 participants over 24 farming sessions with the tenants at South Island Place, and we could not have done it without the enthusiastic participation of our fellow green thumbs.

A garden offers more than fruits and crops - it cultivates our appreciation for nature, food, and the planet.

Over the past few years, the Herb and Tea Garden has become an extended classroom for teachers and students at the International Culinary Institute

With this learning garden on site, students dig deep into growing their own food - enhancing its quality and taste, building cultural connections to diverse species, and most importantly, understanding the environmental impact of food production.

What began as a space of ornamental plants has blossomed into a thriving edible landscape. From beneficial insects to fruits, herbs, tea, and even coffee plants, the garden demonstrates that with the right techniques, planning, and care, Hong Kong’s gardens can be both beautiful and nutritious, and a powerful source of learning.

花園不僅僅提供果實與作物，更培養我們對大自然、食物與地球的珍惜。

過去幾年，「香草園」一直是國際廚藝學院師生的延伸教室。

有了這學習花園，學生能夠親手栽種食材，提升食物的品質與風味，與多樣物種建立文化連結，更重要的是，理解食物生產對環境的影響。

由最初的觀賞植物開始，這片空間已蛻變為繁盛的食用景觀。這裡孕育了有益昆蟲、果樹、香草、茶樹與咖啡樹，展現出只要有合適的技術、規劃與細心照料，香港的花園也能兼具美麗與營養，並成為可持續發展的學習場域。

We are thrilled to kick-start 2026 with the heartening news that Rooftop Republic is now officially 𝑎 𝐶e𝑟t𝑖f𝑖e𝑑 𝐵 𝐶o𝑟p𝑜r𝑎t𝑖o𝑛!

This milestone means we’ve joined a global community that balances purpose with business, meeting high standards of social and environmental impact.

We did not get here on our own, but with the trust and partnerships of our clients, our farmers and suppliers, who have been working with us side by side to change our urban landscapes from grey concrete structures to thriving, nature-inspired well-being gardens that welcome biodiversity, community connections and improved urban liveability.

The certification is also a recognition of the methodology of building wellbeing gardens and nature-forward landscape designs that we have developed and refined over the years.

Becoming B Corp certified is a commitment - from how we work with our stakeholders, to how we care for our community and planet - every decision is guided by responsibility and transparency.

We’re proud to stand alongside other changemakers proving that business can be a force for good. Here’s to building a future where impact and innovation go hand in hand.
