Every company has Articles of Association, but for businesses with more than one shareholder, a shareholders' agreement can provide an extra layer of protection.
While the Articles set out the company's constitutional rules, a shareholders' agreement sits alongside them to govern the relationship between the shareholders, helping to deal with issues such as decision-making and dispute resolution.
