Hello, Chatteris! 👋💚

We’re delighted to be appearing in the very first issue of Discovering Chatteris!

If you haven’t come across Vine Law before, we thought we’d take the opportunity to say a proper hello. 😊

And suddenly you're not having quite such a friendly conversation about the spare bedroom.

World Mental Health Day 2026

World Mental Health Day is on the 10th October every year. It's a chance to shine a light on the fact that everyone deserves access to the right mental health treatment and support, at the right time, in the right place.

Nearly 1.8 million people in England are waiting for support, and the waits are painfully long. People are twelve times more likely to wait over 18 months for mental health treatment than for physical health.

For those living with mental illness, each extra day on a waiting list for support can be a day of risk. Research shows that 80% of people’s mental health deteriorates while waiting.

That means more people reaching breaking point, more families under strain, more pressure on crisis and emergency services and tragically, more lives lost to su***de.

That’s why, this World Mental Health Day, Rethink are calling for Right Treatment, Right Time. That means cutting waiting lists, investing in mental health services, and ensuring people can get the care they need, when they need it.
