Crane & Staples Solicitors

Crane & Staples Solicitors Welwyn Garden City's Award-Winning Law Firm We are specialists in our fields. We are entirely independent and put our advice to our clients first.

We are a firm of solicitors, members of the Law Society of England & Wales and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. Our solicitors and Legal Executives are highly qualified, well trained and many hold additional specialist qualifications. Unlike many organisations we do not pay referral fees. Clients come to us because they have been our clients for many years and know that they recei

ve a good service or because they are recommended to us by other satisfied clients. Over 90% of our work comes to us in this way.The Law Society has a quality accreditation called Lexcel. In order to achieve Lexcel any firm of solicitors must comply with a rigorous scheme that includes everything from a Business Plan to a proper system for managing files and the training and development of staff. It is not easy to achieve. We have had our Lexcel accreditation since 2003. Less than 15% of all firms in England and Wales have a Lexcel accreditation and few have retained it as long as us. We would be delighted to help you with your legal matters whether for you, your family or your business. Please call any of our team to make an appointment or simply fill out our form to request a call back at a time convenient to you. We look forward to hearing from you.

Continuing Mental Health Month at Crane & Staples πŸ’š

We have enjoyed another few days of fantastic activities as part of our ongoing focus on wellbeing this month.

Last night, Team C&S took to the pitch for a friendly football match against our friends at . It was wonderful to welcome back our former paralegal (and social media star!) Alex Baxter, who wore the C&S shirt once more. A big thank you also to our last minute substitute, Joe, for stepping in and joining the team. While the result did not quite go our way, spirits were high, especially with some of our players celebrating a certain other football result! βš½πŸ”΄ Thank you to Taylor Walton for another great game. πŸ‘

Today, we watched a timely and helpful webinar on Managing Stress and Building Resilience, hosted by Elinor Harvey of The Relationship Therapy Practice. Thank you to the Hertfordshire Law Society and Hertfordshire Junior Lawyers Division for organising this.

Over lunch, we gathered as a team to watch the session and were treated to a delicious Greek meze buffet from Mardley Hill Deli πŸ₯™

Later this evening, some of our colleagues are heading to St Albans to take part in the HJLD pottery and prosecco event 🎨πŸ₯‚

These activities help us to maintain balance in this busy and demanding profession, while strengthening connections across our team and the wider legal community. βš–πŸ’š

Reflecting on Mental Health Awareness Week πŸ’š

It has been a fantastic week focused on taking action and empowering our staff to vote for a programme that meets their needs. From a team walk to a shared breakfast, it has been a great mix of social connection, reflection and fun.

To round off the week, our team voted for a pizza party, and we enjoyed a delicious selection from Pizza Express in Welwyn Garden City. With plenty of pizzas and sides to share, it was a lovely opportunity for colleagues of all levels to come together, catch up and unwind. πŸ•

We also held a small raffle featuring prizes such as hair treatments and products, adding an extra element of celebration and pampering! πŸ’‡β€β™€οΈ

Looking ahead, we are pleased to continue supporting staff wellbeing with:
✨ Spa treatments from our friends at Elley Spa
✨ Access to the new facilities at Rise Gym
✨ Participation in Hertfordshire Law Society's upcoming webinar on managing stress and building resilience
✨ Activities organised by the Hertfordshire Junior Lawyers Division, including yoga πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ and pottery
✨ Upcoming football, netball, golf and cricket events.

It is great to see the legal profession and local businesses coming together to prioritise mental health.
